This is not East Greenwich its the one in Greenville (Smithfield RI)....couldnt change location? I really hope we caught the restaurant on a bad night, because the food was way over priced for what we received. It was 630pm and 3 people where at the bar, 1 table of 4 was paying the bill. I think we should of taken that as a queue it wasn't going to be good. We ordered cokes, never got water glasses, for the price of food you should have, water glasses and cloth napkins. First we had pasta fagiole, its wasn't terrible, but very different than my Italian grandmothers, it was not in a red sauce more like it was cooked in undrained beans. The waitress was nice, but not good, she gave me a teaspoon to eat the soup, and 3 pieces of stale bread for my husband and I to share. I asked for a soup spoon, which to my amazement they have! For dinner, my husband had the beef braciole, it was tough and I thought it tasted sour, (he didn't notice the sour taste ) it was stuffed with ham so not sure if it was bad. I asked what it came with, he thought nothing because she never asked what side he wanted, she just brought him penne pasta. I make my bragiole with Italian seasoning and cheeses, pounded (tenderize), rolled and cooked in a red sauce all day, it cuts with a fork, this was hard to cut with a steak knife. I had the chicken Parmigian with penne, it was definitely reheated, they added more cheese and doused in thick sauce that seemed a mix of some jar variety, nothing was fresh! This was the first time we left a restaurant without taking anything home. I can only say there will be no making this better next time, we definitely...

I gotta tell ya, as someone who grew up surrounded by bold Italian flavors, this was such a letdown. Frank & John From Italy on Main Street in East Greenwich missed the mark big time. I ordered a cheese and pepperoni pizza for $16, expecting some authentic seasoning and a flavorful punch. Instead, I got the blandest pizza I’ve had in a while.

The crust? It wasn’t the worst, but it didn’t have that satisfying chew you’d expect from good pizza dough. The pepperoni was so sparse, it was practically playing hide-and-seek. And the cheese and sauce? Absolutely flavorless—no seasoning, no kick, no nothing.

Now, I ate most of it, but let me explain why. I had just finished a long shift at work, I was starving, and I had already spent my hard-earned money. Trust me, if I wasn’t that hungry, this pizza would’ve gone straight to my dog.

It’s a shame because the spot has such a great location, and I really wanted to like it. Maybe I’ll give them another shot if someone recommends something different from the menu. But as far as a standard cheese and pepperoni pizza goes, Frank & John need to take a trip back to Italy to learn how to season properly. This ain’t it.

Pizza score: 4.9/10. FOLLOW ME ...

Just moved down here.Had to pick a place to eat on Main st.Picked Frankie's. Started small....antipasto.It was AMAZING AND SUPER FRESH AND CRISP !! They packed that to-go container with everything under the sun. Green olives.several greens.all the meats and cheese were also super fresh .You can tell when that stuff has been left out or not refridged. For 15$ I got two meals out of that.Promptly called to let them know how happy and content I was. Tonight I ordered steak. It came cooked perfect( summer grill taste).Came with penne AND salad! And fries.Even the salad dressing was delicious.Pasta was perfect and real parmesan !They don't have A-1 sauce.so get some if you can't eat steak without it like me.I love this place and if you like food that tastes like Mom food, this the place. I had to call them again to thank for great food, great value! I'm excited to know that I have a go to place when I'm starving and need good fresh food cooked with love! Tracy.

New review.Went for antipasto for 2nd time and it was awful! Barely the greens in last one, 2 slivers of mushy tomatoes ,half slice of cheese cut in triangles to look like more. All salami no peperoni or hot ham.Sorry, but that was...

Called in a small extra pepperoni light on the sauce cooked well done pizza. This is what I receive when opening the box except for the piece with a bite missing had to taste. And also buffalo chicken wings I guess not the place to order over the phone. They are not doing the old owners justice. Definitely not what ordered. Pizza is a solid three , buffalo chicken tenders 6 to 7 at best A little more effort, an could have been a great pizza, tenders seems they were made ahead of time and sat under the warming light, waiting for pizza to be done. So sad

Only serving these "slices" for Foodfights. Very good. A little heavy, but not in a bad way - Firmly a dinner pizza, possibly with wine. The crust gives flatbready vibes, but only semi-flat. If that makes any sense. Very good example for its category, with tasty sauce and great crust texture. Pepperonis don't add much to the pie, but it's still tasty overall.
