On the busy Restaurant Row in East Greenwich's Main St, Sport and Liesure stands out as one of the more unique and memorable establishments At first glance you think, "cool sports bar!" Drawn in by its boldy colored facade and welcoming front porch you will immediately notice this isn't like other bars. Decorated with a hunting lodge fireplace (complete with a trophy Elk mount) on one side and a set of Birch Canoes over the bar flanking fantastic giant screen TV's on the other you begin to notice the vintage sports memorabilia and vintage pop culture remnants covering the walls. Cassius Clay, Pete Rose and Moët all live together within a wonderful hodgepodge of other fabulous vintage icons. It's a lot of fun and a great place to watch a game or three or perhaps a UFC event! The staff is pleasant and super friendly. Combine this all with a really great piped in retro playlist and shake well. Results: your new Sports Bar home!! It's brilliant! The bartenders have fantastic drink specials (I fell in love with the spicy Ocho Rios margarita) which are NOT over priced btw. There are plenty of seats and TV screens and even a couple classic arcade games. Now, just when you think it can't get any better, you see the menu! Far from your run of the mill humdrum wings and chips, this menu has real food! Duck wings and Spanikopita pizza. Chicken tenders to die for and something called Beets by J. Pasta to die for. Damn good chicken wings. Pizza Margie. I want one of everything. The duck wings were off the hook. And don't forget dessert! I'll never be skinny again at this rate! Not only does this.place have home runs on the telly, the whole joint is a home.run. I can't wait to go back. Warning! You are going to really enjoy this place!...
Read moreI had an amazing experience at Sport and Leisure. The atmosphere was incredibly cool, accompanied by a fantastic playlist that added to the overall vibe. The staff members were not only friendly but also attentive, ensuring that every need was met.
However, what truly impressed me was the food. Despite not expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of the dishes. The menu was filled with enticing options that were sure to satisfy any palate. One standout was the goat cheese spread platter, which was a delightful start to the meal.
For the main course, I tried the rigatoni in a pink vodka sauce and a pepperoni pizza with hot honey. Both dishes were incredibly flavorful and exceeded my expectations. The combination of the rich sauce with the perfectly cooked pasta and the unique twist of hot honey on the pizza made for an unforgettable culinary experience.
To top it all off, I indulged in their espresso martinis and their caramelized banana ice cream for dessert. The espresso martinis were expertly crafted and provided a perfect balance of caffeine and indulgence. The caramelized banana ice cream was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal, leaving me completely satisfied.
Overall, I highly recommend Sport and Leisure venue for its cool atmosphere, friendly staff, and most importantly, its outstanding food. It's a place where you can enjoy great company, excellent music, catch a game on the big screens, and a menu that will leave you...
Read moreSome friends and I went to S&L opening week and it was incredible. The decor has the perfect mix of nostalgic vibes and modern flair with a beautiful bar. The place is clean and organized.
The service was great. Our server was very attentive and sweet. She was knowledgeable and when she wasn't sure on an answer she went to the kitchen and asked. Nate on the bar is a wizard and is so sweet.
Now the food, THE FOOD!!! This is not your typical sports bar menu. Everything S&L does is above the bar and the food is the shining star. We shared a bunch of food for the table. Starting with the whipped goat cheese - omg. This is not something I would typically go for but the girls insisted and I'm so happy I listened.
The fries, the pizza, the Bandino, the Oscar (I think was the sandwich name) and the crispiest fried chicken in the cutest box I've ever had. The carrot cake and home made ice cream we nearly couldn't finish but after one bite there was no way any of it was getting left behind. We left fat and happy!
They were finalizing the cocktail menu when we went so I'm so excited to go back and check that out too.
The bathrooms are clean and cute. I've heard they've got a really cool private space in the works too. S&L is exactly what Main St needed and I cant wait to...
