Hi I am sorry but I was not very happy with the restaurant service especially the way we have been treated. I hate to see when people of India treated other people of India with disrespect. We entered in restaurant and guy with earing meets us with no greetings, mean face and pointed STOP hand gesture towards me to wait. He has bully body language with us and very ill mannered . The same guy brought food to us and kind of throw at our desk and just left without asking which order belong to who. For once I thought the guy might have bad day and that's where he made it very interesting. Right next seat, few white folks were sitting. The same guy came to those folks and asks very gently - you guys tell me please if you need anything and here are your boxes. Long story short may be this restaurant targets only specific kind of customers, so please go and enjoy if you belong to that group. If you are Indian, make sure if you visit there, be ready for mean treatment especially if you met the same guy. We might went to wrong time Sunday at 8:30 PM but we were disappointed with the service. Food was average too . We ordered malai kofta and koftas were dry and chicken was not extra ordinary. Whole thing would have tasted better if we were treated fairly like rest of the customers. I understand sometimes customers from India gave hard time but treating them differently would not solve this problem and not everyone is same . I am sorry for long and negative review and I hope this will help you guys improving your service. Only good thing was the waiter who took our order and gave us check was...
Read moreI personally love all kinds of Indian cuisine... my with? Not so much. That said, we fond ourselves with a few extra hours mid-day in EG and decided on lunch. She actually searched and found this lovely place, surrounded by more traditional fare. At 1pm there were only a small handful of diners. We were greeted immediately by a very pleasant host who seated us. Water and the like appeared immediately along with menus (standard, specials, and drinks). After explaining the specials, we spent some enjoyable time looking over the menus. Soon enough, our waiter arrived to field questions and take our order.
I had Chicken Tikka as a starter, with the Tikka Lamb Chops with Basmati rice as my main. My wife had Tikka Chicken as her main (full leg and thigh). Everything was done to perfection and incredibly tasty! The lamb as just exquisite! My with, as apprehensive as she was going in, was very pleased as well with her chicken, along with our garlic naan bread.
Our server (apologies as I didn't get his name!) did a super job throughout the meal. This could NOT have gone any better! Even my (skeptical/nervous) wife came away full with a smile to boot!!! This experience was a real delight.
HIGHLY...
Read moreThe butter chicken special was legitimately one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. The saag paneer is a classic. The garlic naan is perfect, as is the rice. Start your meal off right with some Cauliflower 65, and thank me later. Order your food made hot for that out-of-body experience.
I have had nothing but perfect service from their awesome staff every single time I’ve visited (which has been about once a week as of late). They are friendly, prompt, and great conversationalists. Being in management myself, I’d be proud to have such a great crew. It has gotten to the point where I don’t even question where to go for a nice Friday night dinner. Both dinner and lunch prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and portions.
I’m splitting hairs here, but a couple more options for beers of the hoppier variety would put a smile on my face! I still always get something good to pair with my meal, however. I’m sure most opt for one of the incredible cocktails, anyhow.
Long story short, this is my favorite restaurant in the area, no contest. If you want a satisfying meal that elevates your senses, and if you value top-tier service, please do yourself a favor and stop by. And don’t forget to...
