This is a long overdue review, which I feel needs to be written about considering the long year I had in 2023. Anyway, I’ve been coming to this E Hanover location of the Office, since it first opened. I’ve met many servers and managers etc. However, it wasn’t until last year in October, that I absolutely started to realize how important it really is to come to a place, where the atmosphere, management, staff; the business of the place accompanied with efficiency/ambience was of importance.
Samantha, who at the time was my server, and is now the restaurant manager of the place, changed my mind completely about coming here. I had an extremely rough night, and with Samantha greeting me, I could feel her genuineness. Samantha, made me feel extremely comfortable right away, with a very professional, yet warm approach. She asked what type of drink I wanted at the time, and could feel the authenticity behind her presence, and kind demeanor. She could see how much I really needed comforting at the time and without hesitation, engaged in conversations, and immediately connected right away. Fast forward to now, Sam has become one of my closest friends, and to this day will forever be grateful for the time and energy, she poured into allowing me to vent; experiencing something very difficult at the time of our meet. I cannot stress enough how fortunate I am, to have formed such a wonderful friendship, under the circumstances. She of all people, deserves this type of recognition, considering how much she truly loves ensuring a wonderful experience for customers, and ensures utmost professionalism from her staff. They are such an amazing team altogether! I absolutely love coming here!
Samantha and staff are truly one of a kind!
Thank you all for your...
Read moreWe eat out regularly and neither of us can remember whether we have ever had such a terrible experience! I ordered a beer that I LOVE. It was terrible and had a vinegar-like aftertaste. No one checked on us even though we had food menus in front of us. I had to actually flag someone down to get me a new beer. I asked the bartender to taste it. She agreed that it tasted horrific. She then came back and explained that they had just switched kegs so some of the old beer was still in the lines but then no one ran the tap to clean the old beer out. Guess the next customer is out of luck. Then we ordered dinner. I got the tuna sashimi salad with dressing on the side and my husband got a special, which had apple in it. The apple slices had the produce sticker still on it, the salad wad drowning in dressing, and the tuna was BAD. I had my husband taste both the beer and tuna and he agreed that they were both bad. Again, no one came by to check on us and we had to flag someone down to tell them that the food was terrible ... we actually encouraged them to get rid of the tuna because it is very likely to get someone sick! This very likely was the worst meal that we have had in the 20+ years we have been together...
Read moreRecently went back , after having a not so great experience about 2 months ago. This time the food was much much better than the last time. The onion soup was actually really good, The tater tot appetizer was definitely not what I expected but was tasty and interesting, liked the dipping sauce. My husband's Burger was good (though they didn't ask how He would like it cooked), And my daughters mac and cheese was tasty.
Our server was very nice, I did notice that when she was assisting a table close by with an elderly man that couldn't hear she actually bent down to listen to his order and talked to him which I thought was very nice!
The only not so great part of the meal:
drink refills were very veryyyy slow... And the glasses are not that big.
The kids meal came with ice cream. We ended up paying for our meals, then waited for the icecream. It literally took over a half hour to get the icecream because they forgot. Not a tragedy just annoying to wait with a kid thinking every time she passed she had the icecream...and didn't. I had to flag down...
