I came in for lunch on a weekend, took forever as usual. Which as a food service worker, I understand. But the Fruitville Pike location never takes nearly as long, and only 2 other orders were on the screen. I ordered a toasted Garden Caprese sandwich whole and a bacon mac, came home, only to realize half of my sandwich is missing. It was simply bread, tomato, and mozzarella. No arugula, no balsamic vinaigrette, a mere pinch of basil, and didn’t taste any salt and pepper. The bacon was missing from my bacon Mac, pretty big mistake to make considering the bacon Mac is a whole $2 more than what I received. I was confused because it seemed there was no rush whatsoever, I mean there was only 2 orders before me and I was the last. My complaint here is not with the manager, because when I came in to address this she was very receptive and kind, and even gave me a free pastry. But as a food service worker, my complaint here is with the kitchen. I’ve only messed up an order about 2 times in the couple of years that I’ve worked at my job. And I’ve never messed up that bad. I get that sometimes we can get distracted and we miss things, but as I read the reviews, I notice a plethora of people who experienced the same food service where half of their sandwich was missing from their sandwich. With that many similar experiences, yall have gotta be doing this on purpose! Panera is way too expensive to be shorting people their onions and their lettuce and their bacon from their bacon Mac. Y'all gotta start hiring some adults to keep that kitchen in check, or maybe some people who are actually willing to work. I can’t remember the managers name who I dealt with, but I thank her for fixing my order and...
Read moreI have to give this location 5 stars. I went to both of the Reading PA locations (the day before Thanksgiving - they aren't open on Thanksgiving) to get a bagel pack. I actually ordered the bagel pack online from one of the two locations at 9 a.m., but when I went to pick it up around 10 a.m., they were out of most of the bagels I ordered. I went to the second location to try to get the rest of the bagels I wanted, but they were out too! I called my sister in Delaware to see if the Newark, DE location had any left. They too were out of plain bagels, and some other flavors, by noon. Luckily, my sister was coming to my house for Thanksgiving, and she was passing through the Lancaster area. We called ahead to the Rohrerstown Rd location. They had the bagels I needed, and they filled my order right away to make sure I got the bagels I wanted. They held them until my sister was able to pick it up at 7 pm. Plus, she called them a few times to check in and the employees were always SUPER friendly and helpful. There were three different employees she talked to, all of whom were very nice, but I know she said Ricky was the one she remembered because he gave especially great customer service. This location deserves a five star rating!!! Good job Rohrerstown Rd Panera for making pur Thanksgiving day breakfast what...
Read moreManager stood in front of us at the Food Window picking his nose and eating it!
My daughter and I stopped in for a quick lunch after an eye doctor's appointment. After ordering we stood patiently at the food window for our order. Two ladies with gloves were preparing the tickets as the orders came in. A younger guy, maybe early to mid twenties with should length blonde hair walked into our view. He immediately started picking his nose. I looked at my 19 year old daughter and asked her if she saw that. As I whispered what I saw, he did it again and then ate it. I almost threw up. The lady sitting on the bench jumped up and ran to the counter to ask the lady who was preparing our lunch, if he was touching food. She she no, it was just the two ladies and looked confused. He walked back to the counter, put gloves on and ran his glove under his runny nose then proceeded to ladle soup into bowls. Again he walked away. When they called my name, I walked to the counter and told her what we all saw. She said that was her MANAGER! EWWWW. She told me she would contact the General Manager. While I know this can happen at any restaurant, to do that right in front of us is repulsive. I will never dine at this...
