Aumer's Sports Bar & Grille — Restaurant in East Huntingdon Township

Third time at Aumer's and this time I'll leave a review. First time I went I was super excited to get a 'fair type' Aumers hoagie. Well the restaurant is very different and they didn't serve the hot sausage hoagie as a hoagie link sandwich and it was a patty type sandwich. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? Maybe they changed it by now? But I was disappointed. It was still decent. Last night we ordered the Joiois Pizza from Aumers. I was told thay Joiois pizza is from Latrobe and they have a sweet sauce and it's so good. Well we ordered 2 large pizzas. One large x-cheese and one large x-cheese Pepperoni. The pizza was almost sauce-less, the cheese you could not even taste. The only thing you can taste on this pizza is the crust that is so super crazy sweet that o could not eat it. Now my kids liked it. The large pizza was also square slices. We were very disappointed but hey not all pizza is for everyone. I know some absolutely love it. We also ordered the jumbo pretzel. We pass by this establishment every week and decided to try it out on our date night. My boyfriend is from the area but I just recently relocated to PA. I have been to plenty of bars and restaurants in the area and had no problem ordering alcoholic drinks. First time at this place and the bartender denied us and asked us to leave because they "didn't feel comfortable with my out of state license" she refused to serve us because she said my Massachusetts license didn't "feel" like how a Pennsylvania license feels. Well it's not a PA license so other states make them differently. First and last time we will be going there. We ended up going to Applebees right after and they took my license and scanned it under the black light and had no problems with the water marks showing up. I have also bought alcohol multiple times from the local wine and spirits as well as other stores with no problem. The bartender was extremely rude from the moment I handed her my license and kept us waiting for 15 minutes while she took it to the back. Would never come back to this sorry excuse for a restaurant. Only positive was that we got seated quickly. Waitress had no idea what craft beers were on draft and wasn’t even going to go ask until we had asked her to. Took over 30 minutes just to get our appetizer. Sat with no drinks for another 30 minutes. Tables around us had came in, ate, and left already at this point. After being there for over an hour total and only having our 2 drinks and appetizer, I asked if we can just pay for what we consumed so far and leave. She went to go get our check and magically the food was ready and “had to be paid for”. Claimed they were super backed up, which could be the case and is understandable, however our waitress never acknowledged us, never even mentioned there was a wait or apologize that it was taking a long time.
