This dining hall is part of the Michigan State University system. It is across the street from the Kellogg Center. For a little over $10, non-students can eat here. It's well worth it. There are multiple (9+) food stations serving food from around the country and the world. Most stations offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. There is also a dedicated station offering only vegetarian and vegan choices. I tried items from multiple stations and liked almost everything. The southwestern station had vegetarian chorizo, which I had in a sort of taco salad. The staff serves you the hot items and some additions (guacamole, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, cilantro, etc.), but you can add other items yourself (tortilla chips, salsa, hot sauce, etc.). This was the first station I tried and the one I enjoyed the most. I also tried pasta with sun-dried tomato pesto, which was okay. I didn't try the pizza station, but I should have because the pizzas looked great. I also tried the burger/fries/chicken station, where I ordered a grilled cheese (made to order, not pre-made) and fries, which I added malt vinegar to. Delicious! I also tried some items from the vegetarian station, including Brazilian black bean stew and spicy hummus with pita. The hummus and pita weren't great, but the stew was good. Next time I go, I will start with the vegetarian station because there were a lot of items I'd like to try, but I was full. I did have a scoop of raspberry sorbet, which I found to be too sweet. Overall, the range of options, the quality, and the price make this all-you-can-eat experience one I will return to. My three dining...
Read moreThis is the most disappointed I have ever been coming here. To lead off with it was very dirty. We had a hard time finding somewhere to sit because of the mess. When we did and walked around the floors was also a mess. The whole time we been here we barely seen a cleaner and when we did they focused on the same spot basically. Now when we get to the food only one or 2.spots was good. Other places had over done food, not enough sauce, most areas was closed down(when they should have been open) meaning we paid our money and didn't get all we basically paid for. Their meat taste funny. And they closed down the ice cream early??? They had some good things burger and fries, fruit ,mash potatoes , ice cream, drinks. But this visit was a horrible one,we wish we could throw it all up and get our money back. The standards Brody had is not as...
Read moreLow price, clean, all-you-can-eat, lots of options, and a few draw backs make dining here overall a good experience. The entrance is hard to find and you have to be on campus, which I don't care for. The staff is often difficult to communicate with and many have little patience. While there are a great many options during the hours where all kitchens are open, the food is only alright. Some of the dishes were good and one or two, even great but none were excellent. This is a great place to get the maximum food to money ratio and the quality is good enough for the pricing and dealing with being on campus. I would return but it would not be a preference. There are too many drawbacks to make this a place I would frequent and not enough to say I...
