If I could give zero or negative star rating for this establishment I would but I can't so I have to give them 1 star. Their only saving grace was the hostess.
On 11/29 I visited Fazio's with my Dad for lunch. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the hostess who was extremely pleasant and smile on her face. It's a small restaurant, it wasn't busy at all so we were seated immediately. She seated us, provided menus and at this point we are figuring out what to get.
As I am looking down at the menu, an older women comes and stands at our table and stares at me saying absolutely nothing. I repeat, she didn’t utter one single word. I'd say, 15 seconds passed which is a long time in that situation. Initially, I thought maybe it was a customer who had forgotten where they were sitting & got confused. But No... it wasn’t, she was our waitress!!!! You wouldn't know because she didn't greet us, she didn't introduce herself, she didn't ask "What would you like today". I had ZERO inkling she worked there. My dad realized she must have been the waitress and asked for a few more minutes. She responded with a snarky & very odd "Oh" as though it's unheard of to need a minute or two when we had only been sitting there 3-4 minutes tops.
As you can imagine, when she walked away my Dad and I were dumbfounded. A few moments later, after Bonnie was seen serving, laughing, & actually talking to her other tables she returned and asked "What are you getting" .. Again, she was cold, rude and as the time went on we were feeling more and more, NOT welcome, but I digress.
My Dad enthusiastically READS right off FAZIOS menu, we will take the 16" Fazio's Famous White Pizza, & she snaps back "Yeahhhhh, well WHAT size, small, medium, large".. I'm thinking, Um, Do you not work here Miss?! She knows what a damn 16" was, it just seemed like she was intentionally trying to make us, the paying customer feel stupid but we didn't, you just infuriated us more. So my Dad responds and nicely tells her, the Medium & added two bowls of tortellini soup. Thankfully the soup was brought out by the very friendly hostess. We finish those and as I'm eating I'm really irritated & that irritation only continues to grow, as I witness her being friendly to every other table. Never do we show our irritation through attitude or disrespect. If she picked up the bowls I said thank you very much, as I would say to any server, and got no response. When she brought the plates out for the pizza, I said, thank you so much, and was ignored once again.
At this moment, we were done and wouldn't stay in a minute more. The pizza wasn't even out yet, we asked to speak to a Manager and have the pizza boxed up to go. The entire time we are talking to the Manager & she is literally staring at us, I mean STARING. We explained to him everything written above. He was very apologetic, shocked as she has been there 15 years and no one has ever complained. That is really hard for me to believe. Really hard. Also, his information proved she knew what size a 16" pizza is if she's been there that long, right? The Manager was looking to do anything to make us happy; offered to have us served by someone else, not have to pay for the food which was all greatly appreciated but we declined. We weren’t making him aware to get anything for free. At this point the lunch was ruined, she clearly had an issue with US and I can only think of ONE reason, & I'll let you assume what that reason may be.
Needless to say, we will never ever return to Fazios. EVER. I haven't been treated so poorly EVER. I’m the most pleasant, friendly person particularly with anyone who works in Customer Service/Hospitality but I and my Dad were made to feel like we were scum. I sincerely hope they do something about her because thinking that she could treat anyone else as we were treated today,...
Read moreI met my aging Pop for lunch. He's a retired and aging executive who no longer does well with being out at night. In his day he ran with the best of them. I picked a Saturday thinking they'd have something/ anything going on. We were a party of two. The other party of two was leaving as we entered. What a disaster. I worked the front and back of the house past college. We were fleeced out of our money! My father sat through it all and said nothing. I watched while his salad came out of the refer from the night before. Wilted and hard to the point were he didn't eat any of it. An Italian gent, he commeneted this is the 1st plate of spaghetti and meatballs I've never ever finished. I sent the eggplant parm back because it was inetible. In its place they grought out a baked hadock. It was akin to something I might have made s a Freshman home Screw this. Lunch at Fazio's is a waste of time and we fealt fleeced. I could go onfor ever...
Read moreExcellent service! Food was hot and flavorful. We were not rushed in anyway. Everything was clean. Silverware was wrapped in a napkin and bagged in place which was different from what I'm used to but made sense I keeping it clean and covid friendly.
The appetizer was amazing and large enough for a table of 4. Warm Italian bread with softened butter was a nice touch. The house salad was stranded but veggies fresh. Our entrees were classic dishes done right and the portions plentiful. Sausage Calabrese was a favorite for my husband and the Chicken Parmigian was spot on. The chicken had not been sitting in sauce long and the bread coating came out great and not mushy as I've unfortunately experienced elsewhere. We both had food to bring home.
Nice choice of beverages including various margaritas and martinis as well as beers. It is adjacent to the bowling facaity and makes date night super convenient. We...
