Rudy's Tacos — Restaurant in East Moline

I decided to give Rudy's another try. I grew up going to Rudy's. I would order the same thing every time....medium shell tacos with no salad and it would be pouring over the top with cheese.

Now, it's $11 for three tacos and its a shell with a thin line of meat with almost no cheese. Don't tell me this is inflation, corn tortillas, ground beef and shredded yellow cheese are not so expensive that they have to do this!

This isn't a one time thing. It had been like this the last four times I've been and so I should probably have known better than to keep trying. Its just hard to let go of childhood favorites.

After posting this, I read some other reviews. Perhaps they might consider actually putting something in their tacos shells other than lettuce after one, let alone many, bad reviews complaining about it. Why wouldnt they make sure this doesnt happen ever again after even one bad review? Because its on purpose, of course.

Well, 1st our order was wrong and when we told the waitress she rolled her eyes at us. Then after a couple of attempts to correct it she FINALLY got it right. Then after I paid the bill I went and sat back down at our table for a bit. When we got up to leave and an employee (Manager?), practicality chased us down and yelled loud enough for the restaurant customers to stop eating. He said "ma'am, ma'am!" I stopped and said yes? He said "Did you pay your bill?" I was insulted, embarrassed and angered. I said "yes, I did and I left a tip for the lousy service. " he just stood there and looked at me. So I left. I found the receipt in my pocket and I turned around and walked back in and said "Here's my receipt, I'm not that kind of person!" This posses me off! Then he finally found words and said I'm sorry, I am so sorry. The waitress came over and said I told him that you paid your bill. So, he still didn't believe me after I told him the 1st time? They had to have a conversation about me in the few seconds i left afterwards? I didn't appreciate being chased after and yelled at. Bad...

The server was friendly. The food was horrible i didn't want to come but because my cousin wanted to and we were celebrating her i decided to come. Ordered soft shell tacos...got semi hard shell tacos' ordered 2 taco salads hardly any sort of flavor the shells Tasted like they were double fried. Order a kids cheese quesadilla. Received a oily mess that tasted horrible even the child would not eat it. Ordered 2 raspberry margaritas. Server made them,hardly any flavor and there was powdered sugar on the rim. I tried it the powdered sugar tasted stale as if kept too long. I sent them back. I tried to keep happy thru the rest and just paid and left. A well 32 bucks spent to know never go to any Rudy's again. I've ran several restaurants, this i wouldn't categorize this as such.
