NEW REVIEW and I'm taking names!!! This evening's drive-thru adventure begins w/ a newish comedian, Adrian. Through the speaker, I was able to get a sense of what I was going to experience at the window. Adrian exudes a positive personality and truly seems to love his job. Any company would be fortunate to have an employee with such an upbeat demeanor. Other members of the radiating night shift were Marlo AKA "Alvin", Nate, and Kay. Kay has served me a few times and I've always been able to see a smile behind her mask. She has a very nice soft friendly tone to her voice and does a great job with customer service. Up next is Chef Nate! Chefs never get recognized in fast food reviews so I'm going to hook him up. Yes, the recipe is already prepared but Nate did an excellent job preparing and proportioning the ingredients to our tacos perfectly. Great job Nate everything was wonderful! Last but not least is Alvin. You know that little brother that has so much energy that he goes bonkers? I think that might be Alvin but it's a good thing. He too, has a fun personality. As much as I'm on the go with work and family, I tend to drive-thru more than I should so I've seen some real characters. This night shift had no idea the horrible day I had. The few minutes in their drive-thru made my day. So thank you to the funny, crazy Taco John's night crew for bringing a smile to this sad face. I'll definitely be returning especially for the NEW Blue Raspberry Mist. That was the BOMB!!! I was elated when I saw Taco John's finally coming to this side of the Quad Cities. Great location and great service. So far the only downfall is the angle of the drive-thru exit (not made for big trucks) and there is no sign to let you know that they are open. Without having lights on in the dining room, no one knows you're open. I would recommend getting a flashing "OPEN" light especially to use in the morning. Your breakfast food is wonderful, you need to let people know you're open :)

I came through drive-through and ordered two tacos plain, and a few other things. She couldn’t hear me on the speaker and asked me to repeat and pull around. When I got my order I was missing my potatoes. Two women came up to the window, ask to see my receipt (like to PROVE I paid for them) and I had time to check my tacos, they had all the toppings. I told them that my tacos were supposed to be plain - and the woman stared at me blankly and said my receipt says they are regular. No “I’m sorry”, no smile, literally paid for food my kid will not eat! I told her I will have to scrape these off… they offered no restitution I’ve never felt so attacked by two window fast food people in my life. I’ll never go here again. Ruined my night.

I have to edit this old review to include my most recent experience. I always thought that posts like this were fake but now it has happened to me. I ended up with a rivet from (I assume) the fryer basket in my potatoes. It's pretty distinct looking. I contacted corporate and got no response so now I'm posting here.

I went to the drive up an ordered a six pack and a pound (large sized) The lady asked me if I wanted any dipping sauce. I assumed dipping sauce was nacho cheeses or something like that. So I said no. When I got to the pickup window, the lady took my money and went to give me my change. Most places the cashier lets you see them put the coins on top of the bills. They used to give you the change first because they were counting the change into your hands. With computer cash registers all you have to do is count what the register says to give out. Anyway, my car is low and the window is high so I couldn't see the coins were already on the bills. I took the bills and as I brought them in the coins fell off the bills. I know 80 cents wont buy much these days but I don't drive down the highway throwing money out the windows either. Since she didn't ask if a wanted hot sauce I assumed it was in the bag. You guessed it no hot sauce. I don't know if that was in the dipping sauce she talked about on the other side. Was ketchup for the potato ole's also in the dipping sauce. All in all it was a very frustrating visit. My wife had suggested Taco Bell, I wish I had...

Worst Taco John's experience that I have ever had. Being from Wyoming, I grew up on the wonderful experience of dining at a Taco John's. This visit was nothing more than a waste of time and money. First off. The owner, I believe was running the drive thru. He missed part of my order, so I went inside to get the items. They were made quickly but when I tasted them, they were awful. just like the Chicken burrito that had 3 small pieces of chicken in it buried under a mix of refried beans and beef mixture. The Steak crunch burrito didn't have any potato oles but again the bean and meat mixture. The 3 orders of potato oles were ice cold. All in all a waste of $30. I tried calling the store and the first attempt, no one answered and the next 2 times I was hung up on after asking to speak to a manager or the owner. I hope that someone from the franchise will see this and take the name off the building because this store doesn't deserve to have...
