2024 updated: it is still one of my favorite spots. it is a family own business that makes you feel like you’re part of the family. they are so nice and friendly and the food is very yummy. they even gave me a coffee on the house!! i really do like coming here. broad variety of different types of bagels, made fresh here. and you can get different types of meat and even add onions to your bagel sandwich This is one of my favorite places to get breakfast bagels from. They’re fresh, made daily ready to order. Mona is really friendly and funny and gave us free chips with our order. There’s always a warm welcome when you step in. And Mona treats everyone like a long-time friend. Thank you

One of the best bagel places I’ve been to in a long time especially in the tri-state area. I got a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel this time and let me tell you it’s the best. Mona makes them better than anywhere I have ever been. I would be willing to say it’s a breakfast sandwich in the area that would have a hard time being beat. The employees were extremely nice asked me how my day was going and complimented me on my shirt what more could you ask for.

Was craving a bagel and drove to this location. Bagel was nothing to talk about. The usual Diner type. The shocker was the cost of the bagel. I also think it has new owners. I had an everything g bagel with onions tomato and egg ( they gave me one egg). Was falvorless. It was just to fill,my tummy. I paid $12.45 and this exact bagel with coofee in NY would have been $7.95 and delicious. I don't think I'll be back.

I was looking for a local bagel shop to place a large order in the area. I always read reviews before I determine whether I give a place my business. For the most part, the reviews of your establishment are good, however, a couple of things caught my eye with people who didn't give great reviews. The owner of the place replied to them and was quite nasty and unprofessional. I'm actually appalled at the way you handled one recent review from today. You are a business owner and calling someone stupid and a con artist is really disturbing. I'm a business owner myself, and I would never treat my customers or anyone in that manner. I'm pretty sure you would never want to be treated that way. After all, the customers , whether they are regulars or newcomers help fund your business. Shame on you...I know I will not be giving you my business, which would have been a regular and consistent large order for business conferences. Please learn how to accept constructive criticism instead of degrading and bashing people sir. Plus, washing your hands when coming from anywhere should be a MUST- especially in the food industry.

*In reply to the "President of Bagel Cafe"- I did not purchase anything if you read my review properly. I was looking for a local bagel shop to fulfill large orders on a regular basis for my business meetings, but the insulting replies you left to people who did not leave a great review is what deterred me from wanting to give you my business. I always read reviews before spending money at an establishment. It seems that you are extremely condescending in nature. Perhaps a business management and etiquette course should be in your future. Best of luck to you and...

Terrible experience. Employees were rude by ignoring customers as they were speaking to them. Owner, Raj lost temper, cursed out my family over a simple misunderstanding. I witnessed the cook touch raw bacon, cash register, and everything else all with the same gloves on. My advice is to eat at Dunkin Donuts in the same shopping center.

**UPDATE - Please read the owner's response. Does this sound like a local businessman that you want to support? A simple, "I'm sorry for your experience, please enjoy a free sandwich on us," would have more than sufficed. Name-calling is intolerable and immature. The fact is I am college educated and in my late-twenties. There is nothing fake about my review. I have no ill will toward this establishment. I am only simply recanting my experience and publicizing it in hopes that future customers will make informed decisions about where to spend their hard earned money. I am a huge proponent of small / local businesses, I actually do not prefer to support the big guys, full disclose.

*UPDATE - I came back for the refund and the owner Raj totally trapped me, photographed my license plate, and refused to pay me the promised refund. Raj's response is typical of a misguided owner, blaming the customer opposed to taking responsibility. Ever heard the saying, "The customer is always right?" I will admit the service is typically mediocre to satisfactory, but on January 9th, 2016 it was the worst experience I ever had in a food or retail establishment....

This will be my third edit on my review of The Bagel Cafe. This is more of a note to the owner. People come to The Bagel Cafe because they know your bagels are homemade and are gourmet . We appreciate you trying to make your bagels a competitive price which is great but then you turn around and slap the customer in the face with some absurd charges.

To charge a customer $0.50 to toast your bagel at a bagel place just really seems ridiculous. Then, if we chose to have our Bagel cut in half, that is an additional $0.50 charge.

Instead of backhanding the customers in the face with these outrageous charges, try absorbing one of these costs into the price of your bagel, people will still come because the product is worth it. Don't charge us $0.99 for a bagel and then an additional $1.00 just to have it toasted and cut in half. What's next, we'll have to pay for the napkins and the little plastic knife to spread the cream cheese?

I had to edit my first review of The Bagel Cafe complaining about extra charges and getting ugly bagels if you didn't choose a topping . If you're looking for the best everything bagel, this is the place to go.

It seems they have worked a lot on their customer service and it's definitely a great little spot for the best bagels. Avoid those big chains and try this place out when you are craving a bagel!

They have other great, homemade Bagels, I just always gravitate towards the...
