This morning was another wake up extremely early day. I was up by 4:00am, dressed with having my first breakfast snack. Went to charge Black Beauty “Cancer Buster” at 5:45am with the intention to walk at least a mile. Well, that didn’t happen! After I plugged the Jeep into the power station I got back into the Jeep. I woke up 4.5 hours later with the Jeep fully charged.

Today I will walk after dinner for digestion help. It should be .5 to .75 of a mile around the block.

I went for my full breakfast at Jem Restaurant which is a delightfully decorated 1950’s theme joint. I spoke with the owner, Tony who has had this place for 50 years, circa 1974. Amazing.

His son will be taking over and is a superb grill man; his mom works there as does his sister. It’s a family affair and it works.

The food was excellent. He even custom made my breakfast order to perfection. How was your breakfast today?

I will be back and frequenting Jem Restaurant. I give this place 7 Stars because that’s how I see it.

Me and my girlfriend just ate here and they gave us an extra side of sausage that we did not order. When we went to pay it was an extra 4.75 for that order of sausage. I said i didn't order it and the waitress (in the short red hair) came speed walking over saying "NO NO NO YOU ORDERED THE SAUSAGE I ASKED HER WHAT SHE WANTED AND SHE SAID SAUSAGE". I was baffled by the way she came over and said that to me so aggressively. Honestly the 4.75$ isnt that big of a deal it was that fact that she came over and raised her voice at me as if i was trying to scam her out of 5$. Food was mediocre normal for a breakfast place. I wouldnt come back just because how i was treated. All in all i think she has dementia and couldnt remember what she said 15 minutes ago. If you decide to come and eat here just make sure that she writes your order down correctly so you dont get charged extra money for food you didnt order. (The cashier was...

I called and ordered breakfast to go since I was working nearby. I ordered 2 pieces of French toast, which was good and the bread was nice and thick. I also ordered a platter with scrambled eggs with cheese, I can’t eat them without cheese, and bacon. When I got there the cashier said my order was $35. I asked what for and she said two platters and an order of French toast. I said I only ordered one platter and French toast. I’m not sure how she thought she heard 2 platters, anyway I get back to work and the French toast was good. The eggs had no cheese and the hash browns, which I didn’t know were included were dry and tasteless. The bacon was ok, just thicker than what I like. If I order from here again I’ll skip the dry tasteless eggs and...

Jem is the place to go for breakfast in the East Norriton area and beyond. There are two counters, many tables and booths. Very friendly waitresses who will keep your coffee cup filled. The 50's decor is interesting, and the tabletops have nostalgic 50's trivia Q & A on them. Food is the standard breakfast staples which is good and reasonably priced. Famous for their "Scrapple Stix's" and Bo's sausage gravy over biscuits. Come talk sports with the owner Tony who makes the rounds to visit and greet everyone. At this time, it is cash only, but they have an ATM machine by the front counter. $$

Extremely friendly staff and such a positive vibe! We also got to meet the owner, Tony Bello, and had a really nice conversation with him — he’s warm and welcoming. We had the French Toast (which was perfect!), a custom-made omelette with spinach, tomatoes, and peppers, and the “Elvis” — an egg sandwich with bacon and cheese. It would have been nice if the sandwich came with hash browns or potatoes, but everything was delicious and cooked just right. Great place, fun vibe, and great value for breakfast. Oh, and they only take cash — so make sure you bring it!
