Roots Real Food. Real Beer — Restaurant in East Norriton Township

We stopped by tonight for dinner. On our way we called to see how long the wait was and was told we could put our name on the list. We get there in about 15-20 minutes and were told they don't take names over the phone. Even though the person I spoke to when I called checked with someone and was told they did take names over the phone. We were told the wait would be another 10-15 minutes. It was a good 5-10 minute wait for our waitress to come to the table. She came and took our drink order and left before we could order an appetizer. Another 10-15 minutes for our drinks to come she finally takes our food order. Appetizer comes out in a decent amount of time. We finish the appetizer and stack the dirty dishes for her and put them on the edge of the table so they are convenient for her. She stops a few minutes later to check in and leaves the dirty dishes. Our food finally came, we were there for about an hour at this point, and after bringing our food, the dirty appetizer dishes were still on our table. 2 groups of people that came in after us, were served and left before we even had our check. We really want to like this place because it's so convenient but every time we give it a chance, something happens and we stop going. I went here for brunch today and I was extremely dissapointed with my experience. It's a shame because this place is in a great location and the outdoor seating is nice. The servers were also very nice. I ordered just the regular breakfast entree with 2 scrambled egg whites, and I asked for a fruit cup instead of the breakfast potatoes. The waitress came back to my table a few minutes later and told me they couldn't switch the potatoes to fruit. I asked why since the fruit cup was on the kids menu. I was told "the chef won't do it". Not sure what that means, but I was really put off by that but I said it was fine and to just do whatever normally comes with it which were the breakfast potatoes. When I received my dish, my eggs were soooo wet. Like full of oil. It was disgusting. I had to use all of our napkins to blot and mop up all the oil in the eggs. I also ordered 2 cocktails while I was here. A mimosa which was good and an espresso martini. I hated the martini, but if you like extra sweet drinks you'd probably like it. I like my espresso martinis on the bitter side and this was wayyyy too sweet for me. Based off my experience today I don't think I'll be trying this...

Absolutely horrible how they do business here. Wanted to do lunch for myself and some co-workers Called their number (10 times) listed both on Google and their website and it said they weren't accepting calls. Ok, I guess. I decide to order online instead. Surprise. The website says they weren't accepting online orders. Odd. So, I look at the reviews because I'm worried that perhaps the restaurant has shut down and it wasn't properly updated. Nope. Recent reviews. So I look on Google to see if maybe I have the wrong site. It happens. Find another site that has the ability to place an order via something called Slice. I'm thinking great! It wasn't ideal to do pickup but at least I could get everyone's food ordered. I pay, I receive a confirmation email and I wait for the projected pick-up time. Shortly after, I get a 'delayed order' email. Ok, I guess. Then just before the original pick-up time I get a third email saying the order has been CANCELLED. So, now I have a scheduled lunch, hungry people and no food!! I can only give so much grace. Horrible first impression. To me, the service is just as important as the food. I won't be recommending this place to...
