New to the area and looking for a new home to get my nails done. Found this salon on IG and decided to try it because the ladies work look good and the business is black owned. First off, the receptionist was unpleasant. I walked in with a smile, said hello and asked if they take walk ins. The receptionist had her head down half the time she was talking to me (on her phone i think and I want to give the benefit of the doubt and think perhaps she was trying to see if someone was available via text). She hesitated to answer then said no-one was available, no alternative time offered. I said ok, can I come back later? She paused again...maybe 30mins. Honestly atp I should have left because the energy was unwelcoming...it was like I was being a bother. I told her ok I'll be back in 30mins. As I'm at the stop light waiting to cross the street, the receptionist comes out to call me back inside. When I went in, she points me to a young lady standing in the pedicure area with burgundy hair...she asks what I need and I told her acrylic overlay and pedicure. She tells me to wash my hand and sit at her station which I did. When she came over to start my nails, she tried to hand me a book, I told her no need, I just want simple the acrylic overlay with pink. I assumed she knew that meant pink acrylic overlay. She did my pinky finger and I took a look and realized it was clear, so I asked if she's gonna put the pink acrylic on it. She said I didn't say I wanted colored acrylic. I said I told you acrylic overlay natural pink nails. She said since she already started she can give me pink polish. I told her that's not what I want...I want pink natural acrylic. She sighs seemingly annoyed and repeats herself. I said very calmly, if you dont want to do it, its fine, I'll leave. She says she didnt say she doesn't want to do it. I said no, but your attitude, body language, energy etc is saying you dont want to. I said my bad for not communicating clearly but i dont want pink polish so if you don't want to change it, it's fine. She looks around confused and did not offer once to give me what i wanted. She put acrylic on my PINKY FINGER ONLY. You would think I was asking her to redo a full hand. Unbelievable. I ended up leaving of course. Extremely disappointed in how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt really sucks that i have to do this to a black owned business but this needs to be said. On Sept 5 i visited this establishment for a Gel pedicure and eyebrows. The first half my pedicure was done by a young lady and the other was to be done by what i assume to be one of the owners . The young lady who began my pedicure, was unable to do French tip and an acrylic nail which is why the owner had to finish . I could tell the owner had an attitude but i shrugged it off because she appears to be pregnant. Fast food reward to when sheās almost done with my feet i ask about the wait time for eyebrows. She informed me i would probably have to wait because the lady who does then was completing someoneās nails. Okay cool no problem. I now have to use the restroom so i ask her how much my pedicure was so i could pay her and just be able to leave afterwords. She says 50 dollars. I take the cash out of my wallet which is exactly 60 bucks. We finish up and i hand her the money and go to the restroom . Upon exiting the bathroom i told her thank you once again and asked how long she thing is the nails tech will be for eyebrows. She informs me 15 minutes so Iām like cool Iāll come back . She then proceeds to tell me i only gave her 50 bucks.and Iām confused because you just told me it was 50 . So now sheās trying to tell me itās 58. Had she told me 58 i would have handed her the 60 before going to the restroom. She then begins to become belligerent and yell as if she didnāt make a mistake . There is no way i could confuse 58 with 50 . She then proceeds to say well i actually have you a discount on the one acrylic toe which is 5 but she claims she charged me 3. Instead of apologizing she continued to be nasty. NEXT TIME SAY THE CORRECT PRICE AND QUIT BEING MONEY HUNGRY INGRATES TO A PATRON OF YOUR BUSINESS ! Apologizing would of been easier than...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis establishment popped up on my IG suggestion so I decided to look through their IG. I was very pleased with what I seen and what made it even better was the fact that it was black owned business and local. I wanted to treat myself since my birthday is around the corner, so I decided to book a pedicure session with gel polish.
So I get there and when I entered I kinda expressed how difficult it was finding a parking. Thatās when I was told that the customers parking was located in the back of the establishment. Ok kool, no problem. So I was asked the time of my appointment, they confirmed my name then asked me if I was ok getting a pedicure by anyone? With it being my first time at that establishment, I said āYes.ā
I was seated at the pedicure station then told that I would be waiting for a young lady to come do the acrylic refills on my 2 big toes. While drilling my nails she cut my toes multiple times. When she was done, the 2nd young lady came and started doing my pedicure. She seemed like she was in training because of how she was handling my feet. Believe me she was very nice but her work was horrible. At some point, the safe begin leaving so I got the impression that the young lady began feeling pressured and rushed. An older lady, not sure if she was the owner of the establishment or not came over after it seem like she was tired of waiting and asked the young lady if my feet was done drying (which it was NOT). I was so upset with the whole experience. I should have just went to the Chinese place and paid $40.
I booked my appointment online by paying $22 deposit and paid a balance of $50 at the end of my service. My feet look the same way it did when I came into their establishment. The gel polish doesnāt look like gel and the polish started cracking.
The absolute worst experience...
