Other low reviews hint to the issues we encountered, but being new to the area I can confidently say we will never be back. I think it is completely unacceptable as an employee to raise your voice at a customer unprovoked, and in front of our 2 year old child. Went in for donuts as Google says you are open until 12pm on Saturdays. Walked in since we didn’t see the sign saying curbside only and are new to the area, and were immediately met with hostility and told they were not open… although somebody else was walking out to their car with donuts. We kindly said Google lists that they are open until noon and that we will just go somewhere else. In her disgruntled tone the employee continued to raise her voice and tell us their hours are wrong and Google won’t fix it, and then asked what we wanted. We started walking out as she had raised her voice at us and we didn’t want to subject ourselves to the lack of customer service any longer. Upon walking out the employee said she hoped we would be back. Not sure who would want to come back when you immediately come in hot with new customers.

Just an FYI that as a business owner you can, and should, edit your hours on Google. It’s very simple, in fact you can just Google it and get step by step instructions! Might help your employees not feel the need to take their frustration out on innocent customers and...

Update – Nov 2020. I haven't yet had a tenderloin sandwich that is that large, until now. It was such a great lunch.

Oct 2020 Ok friends, so today I crossed the river over to East Peoria to go try out the Broasted (Broiled + Roasted) Chicken at Carl's Bakery & Restaurant.

Man, they've got a good thing going on over in EP! So without further ado, Carl's is tied for #1 on my Greater Peoria deep fried chicken list with Amir's in the East Bluff!

I'd go to both any day.

If you're thinking about heading over to Carl's, please call ahead as they're doing only curbside pickup, takes about 20-30 minutes for your order to be ready cos they cook'em fresh to order.

Oh and BTW their donuts are really good as well.

don’t go here if you’re under 30, they will think you look “too young” to be a customer worth waiting on apparently. have heard it from others, but finally experienced it myself this morning. while waiting curbside to order, several people who showed up AFTER me were waited on first. the only noticeable difference were these people were older in age, similar to the staff. whereas i’m very young. really? do better and wait on your customers equally in the order they show up, not by who you prefer to help because they’re closer to your age. extremely disappointed to have heard this has happened to a few of my friends as well!! 24 years old & 6 months pregnant, only wanting donuts right now, and my childhood donut shop doesn’t want to serve me because i’m young so i must not be a...
