Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in East Peoria

This place reminds me a lot of Stake N Shake. I went in with an open mind but saw tic toks of folks going crazy over their sauce. I had the chicken sandwich fried. With every bite I saw the juice coming out of the chicken. The woman taking our order couldn't tell me how hot the spicy chicken is. That is next to try. I had a few of my husband's fries. It was okay, the same as Stake N Shake just plain. Tried their sauce and no thanks. My husband was happy with the size of his combo. Nothing special about the fountain drink that you get your self. My child got their kids meal deal. They did not get a toy like the children at the next table did. We do not need more "stuff" that doesn't get played with so I didn't bring it to the to the proper person, not a big deal. It was not cheap meal but not stake dinner prices. It is a good place to try. This location is very cramped in the eat in part not a lot of things on the walls. It was a very popular place to eat because there was always people coming in and out. We have been several times and always enjoyed but today was terrible. My family and I tried to go through the drive through tonight to grab dinner. After waiting for 10 minutes to get up the the speaker to order, they informed us that if we planned on ordering it was going to be another 10 minutes before they were even going to begin cooking food.

If you’ve been through the drive through there you know that you cannot get out once you are in. So essentially, we were trapped in the drive through line whether or not we were ordering or not.

When asked why this wasn’t posted somewhere for everyone to know before going into the drive through, the employee was rude and stated that she “didn’t know.” This lead to multiple vehicles trying to back out of the drive through to get out of the line.

The safer option would be for them to have had the customers who ordered pull ahead and bring their food out to them when it was ready instead of trapping everyone in the drive through line or making multiple cars try and back out of a...

This is my second time coming here. The first time was right after opening, and we dined in. I found the restaurant to be way too small. It feels like people are sitting on top of each other. The food was average not great but I put it towards it just being opened. Went there again today through the drive-through. Got cheese curds, and a chocolate malt. Cheese curds were greasy and not very tasty and the ranch was not good, too vinegary. The chocolate malt was way too thick and had absolutely no malt taste to it. It tasted like chocolate custard that I paid extra for to be a Malt but wasn’t. I stopped by Walmart on the way home to get groceries and left it in the car to soften a little and it was finally edible by the time I got out after shopping but I ended up throwing it away because it was just chocolate ice cream not a malt. With multiple restaurants around The levee district you’re going to have to step it up a lot. It’s not even close to Culver’s quality and steak and Shake taste better. This was two strikes. I will...
