I am usually not eager about writing a review, but I am super excited about doing this one. Michael at the Ashley Furniture Home Store in East Peoria really deserves this review. It is an amazing salesman. I am all about customersā satisfaction ā Michael delivered ā I think Ashley Furniture leadership should be proud of him. My wife and I went to look for some furniture for our new home. As soon as we entered the store, we were greeted by Michael. Very courteously, he welcomed us to the store. I personally do not like when salesmen follow you everywhere and try to push you to buy stuff. I was hoping that Michael would not do that. Well, he did not. He just told us: ālet me know if you have any questionsā. We had many questions, which he answered so promptly. Unfortunately, on that day, my wife didnāt like anything in the store. So, we decided to go the Peoriaās store. But here is why I believe his leadership should be proud of him. Michael asked for our contact in case there were new stuff in the store. After just 20 min out of the store, Michael sent me a text saying āThank you guys for spending time with me this evening looking for new pieces for your home! While you are visiting Peoria location, take some pictures and let me knowā¦ā. I was impressed. I realized that this guy really wanted to sell us furniture. At that point, we made the decision to stick with Ashley Furniture and check furniture online so that Michael can earn our business. We found some furniture that we liked and requested a quote through messages. Michael responded promptly to our request. We picked the furniture and went to the East Peoria store to buy them. Michael was there to sold us the furniture. My wife was happy with the purchase. It was a really good experience. I was in this week to look for a new couch & found one that I liked. Went home to talk it over with the family. When I pulled up their website to show them the couch, I realized the online price was substantially cheaper. Not only that, but an Ashley store location 2 1/2 hours from me was selling this same set for even less. When I called the East Peoria location to ask if they would price match not only the internet price, but also the other Ashley store price, I was met with vague answers & excuses. Excuses that "they hadn't had time to mark their inventory for the summer price deal to match the internet price". As for matching another Ashley's store price, I was given the most vague and run around answer possible. And I was also told they could not place an order for me over the phone due to the potential for credit card fraud. After thanking the salesperson for their tim,. It was made quite apparent they were not willing to work with me or interested in a sale. I called the Ashley store 2 1/2 hours from me to see if they had any suggestions and if it would be possible to order from them. I spoke with Ethan and I can not say enough nice things about him. He was pleasant and graciously listened to my ranting about the store closest to me. Ā Ā Ā Read moreFrom the time my husband and I walked in, it was okay. We purchased a couch, and we were told 4-5 weeks for delivery . We got a call about week 5 stating that the couch was discontinued, but we could purchase the floor model. When the time came for delivery, the drivers pulled in our driveway, and as my husband went inside to move our old couch, the delivery driver literally pulled out of the driveway and left without saying anything. We got ahold of Dawn at the wearhouse, and she apologized and stated the couch was not even on the delivery truck (when we were promised it would be personally from her). At this point being very frustrated (mind you I have never had to call a furniture place so many times for a couch), I called 3 times that Saturday and asked to speak with Joe (the store manager). I was told he would call back. Now, being rescheduled for delivery the following week, we finally got our couch but never will be getting anything again from Ashley Furniture. Joe never called, We felt "ghosted" and, like, we were not cared about to keep as a customer. I did receive a refund only because I was not paying full price for a floor model and had to ask. It was not near what we purchased or even a 1/4. The customer service was terrible when it came to any communication from Joe. To this day, there is no communication from him. I'm not happy, but it's a waste of my time and energy to try and reach out as I'm sure I'll be "avoided."
