McDonald's — Restaurant in East Point

If it wasn't for the fact that This is the closest McDonald's to my home. I would never go to this McDonald's. It doesn't matter how long the line is, you're going to be waiting for even the simplest orders. If the drive-thru has more than three or four cars in it, it's going to take them forever to get you your food. And don't get me started on the lobby wait times. You will order your food and pay for it and watch as they clear the drive-thru before they even attempt to get your food ready. The lobby is disgusting. There's always homeless people hanging out. The tables are never cleaned, The floors never swept, and the outdated drink machine is always gross. Also Half the options on the drink machine don't work. We're not asking for a Coca-Cola freestyle machine, I just want to be able to push Coke and Coke comes out.

Today I stopped in for lunch. On the menu there is an option for two Big Macs, two medium fries and a 20 piece nugget for $19.19 when I ordered that option the lady at the counter looked at me like I was crazy until I pointed at the option on the menu and then she decided to ring it up à la carte. When the price came out at $25 I questioned it and she pretty much shrugged, as if to say, "oh well." Refusing to pay a price other than the price that was advertised We changed our order. After waiting over 10 minutes for our food, watching over a dozen orders get processed through the drive-thru, our food came out and we asked for our cups. Now instead of just taking five steps, grabbing the cups and handing them to us. She pointed over to the lady at the register and said "you get your cups over there." The way she said it made me want to go behind the counters and grab the cups myself. How are you going to give somebody an attitude just because They asked for the cups that were supposed to come with their food?

Now here's what made me make the decision to leave a review. Among the homeless people and the trash and the flies in the lobby, beside the dirty drink machine was the sweet tea dispenser. The sweet tea dispenser did not have an expiration time on it, and it didn't even have a lid. The tea inside was exposed to the open air. When I asked for the much safer tea in the drive-thru I received the standard "We just put that Tea out there." response from the same wonderful employee that was too lazy to take five steps to hand us our cups. When I informed her that the Tea they "Just put out there" was uncovered, Didn't have an expiration on it, and exposed to the open air, she visibly shrugged and acted like there was nothing she could do about it.

The staff at this specific McDonald's is so incompetent that they can't handle the simplest customer complaints without attitude and sarcasm. Nobody in the store can move with a sense of purpose. And the only reason I suspect anyone eats at this McDonald's is because you have to drive 10 or 15 minutes to get to another one. Hire some competent staff, treat the drive-thru and the lobby equally, and...

Tried to order on menu board. Found a egg and sausage Mcmuffin on special for $2.29 so I clicked on it and added to order. Tried to get to coffee screen, but it would not let me. Finally gave up after several minutes and went to counter. Told the counter person I wanted the egg and sausage Mcmuffin that is on the menu board for $2.29 and I asked her how much a large coffee was. She said $1.89. I told her to add that. When I got the receipt I noticed I was charged $2,79 for the egg and sausage Mcmuffin and $1.99 for the coffee. Went back to the cashier and told her that I was charged wrong. She called the manager to come over and help. When I told her that the board had the egg and sausage Mcmuffin for $2.29 we went over to the board. I could not bring up the screen that had the special on it. Not my board, so I did not know what was the problem. She finely said the sandwich was $2.79 and there was nothing she was going to do. Although mad I waited for the sandwich and coffee. When I got it I examined the sandwich and there was no egg. Being really mad, I now screamed at them that I cannot even get the sandwich I wanted and slammed it down on the counter at which time it opened and the sandwich was on the counter.. They then took my sandwich and put an egg on it and brought it back to me. On the way out the door I threw it in the garbage! Took the coffee out to my wife and told her what happened. She asked me if I asked for my money back I said I was too upset to deal with any more. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT MCDONALDS EVER AGAIN. AND I HOPE YOU WILL READ THIS AND NOT GO...

So I visited this McDonald's on May 24th 2025 Saturday morning to make an order and decided to go inside to do so. As I walked in 2 people standing there at the counter obviously pissed. I decided to place my order on the kiosk and done so. It told me someone would take my money at the cash register. After standing there for 20 mins and nobody even acknowledging me I decided I would go thur dive thur. Sat in line for 10 mins and placed my order. Got sausage egg and cheese McMuffin sausage egg and cheese McGriddle a sausage biscuit with cheese 2 hash browns 2 large.cokes. everyone in front of me did not wait for there order. I got to window and paid and was told to pull up and they would get my food to me. 21 mins later I got my food. My food was cold and my coke was watered down like it had been sitting there for an hour on the counter. This is supposed to be fast food and friendly service and I did not receive neither. What's the problem McDonald's? Can you guys not hire employees that do the job you hire them for and management to make them accountable for their actions? COVID is way over with but service seems to be on a covid level still with staff just seem to do what they wanna do when they like to do it.
