Pantry 1 Food Mart — Local services in East Rutherford

I was there this evening and was surprised that they close at 10PM now on Sundays instead of 11. So just be aware of that. Weekdays+Saturday used to be 12AM and now 11PM.

The reason I am writing this review is not because the woman who was there tonight was rude and basically pushing us out of the store 10 minutes before they closed, but because not just 1, but 2 of the 4 items we were overcharged. 1 36x case of Poland spring water was posted as 9.99 but rang up $10.99. Schweppes seltzers were listed on special at 2 for $2 but 4 of them rang up at $4.28, that is before tax by the way.

Some people showed up before I left the parking lot and let me know this place is under new ownership. I hope they can figure it out. And I hope they are not intentionally ripping...

The true sign of a good convenience store, and the ultimate telling point, is its coffee. A good cup of coffee is my deepest passion, and in all my years, I have sampled some of the worst around. I can honestly say that I have never encountered a coffee that bore more resemblance to liquefied charcoal heated with a flamethrower than coffee. But, this store managed to accomplish this feat. Honestly, I came in about 3 in the afternoon, and their coffee tasted like it had just sat there heating, unchanged, since the store opened. It was enough to make me run for the Rolaids. I don't care if you make a good sub, or your prices are good, if you neglect your coffee, you have no...

The service here is horrible. Workers are very rude and condescending towards women. I have experienced them being quick to raise their voices and yell at you like you are beneath them for asking a question. You also always have to check the food you purchase because it can be expired. It's unfortunate that I will not be returning here considering the location is convenient, but the service and quality of products is just not worth it. I would rather drive a little further to go to a better store, with quality products, and where I am treated with the respect a valued...
