As someone with social anxiety who gets order panic easily, I'd like to talk about my experience with this place. I had seen this place from the outside after walking around Crystal street, but never went in. Being a vegetarian, not many small places have stuff I can eat. I looked on their online menu and it said they had vegetable patties and some veggie sides. I ordered some and headed over. Unfortunately they had run out of some of the things I ordered. Someone came in and snatched up all the veggie patties they had. I asked the girl at the counter and the cook in back what they recommended I do and they worked with me. There was no judgement, frustration, or annoyance in their voices. They were all smiles and told me everything I could get instead. I got a side of Mac n Cheese, a side of cabbage, 2 orders of breadfruit, and a huge container of rice. It was a very comfortable experience. When I got home, my wife and I opened everything and immediately tasted all of it. The rice was really good. Perfectly seasoned with no dryness. The cabbage was incredible! It was spicy, crunchy, and soooo flavorful. I likened it to a jamaican kimchi. That mac n cheese was standout amazing! We kept going back for more til it was empty. Then we got to the breadfruit. We were so full from everything, but we wanted to try a small bite. One bite turned into us housing the rest. It was unlike anything I had tried before. My wife said "This is the best breadfruit I've ever tasted." It had a really good rum glaze and possibly currants or dates. I'm not sure, but I want it again and again. Overall, this place is one of the top takeout spots in East Stroudsburg. If they put this much effort into their sides and desserts, I can only imagine what their main patties taste like. I'm going to keep going back to try to get that veggie pattie (and apparently a spinach pattie that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hadn't been here in so many years so I stopped in to try out something new. I had tried the jerk chicken and oxtails in the past (both quite tasty) so I wanted to try something new this time. Was going to get the brown stew chicken but they had sold out for the day. Ended up grabbing the curry goat with some rice and greens. The woman working inside was very helpful when I wasnāt sure what to get once the brown stew chicken was sold out.
So the goat was on the bone, which is how I feel it should be personally but to each their own if you donāt. It was incredibly tender and there was zero hint of gamey or irregular flavors at all. I once had goat at a friendās family gathering years back and it was terribly gamey so Iāve avoided it since. This was nothing like that at all. The curry sauce was delicious. If you are someone who says you donāt like curry and itās based off trying curry from Indian spots or Thai or somethingā¦this is not the same.
The collards were good but not what I was expecting at all. Iām used to the greens from the south so I anticipated a heavier vinegar presence and a different texture. I think I prefer the southern greens but thatās just what I know all my life so I lean that way. These were still tasty!
Paid $14 for this platter but it is a two meal box for sure. Iād absolutely pay that any day of the week (a drink came with it as well) and I canāt wait to get back. Royal Caribbean Island Delights -...

How is it that you can tell your regulars to get out of your shop and not buy your food. More or less āIām not going to sell you my foodā. Especially after you could not fulfill an order made two days in advance. At what point did Charles make up his mind that he is above all, that his food is the best in the area and or believe that his business can continue to stay open without customers during these times. Charles states āIām not going to be pressured to make food, it will be done when I say itās doneā. You own a restaurant, thatās exactly what you supposed to do, if you donāt want to do what youāre doing anymore, stop doing it. What should happen is that we the customers stand our ground, band together and teach Charles how this really works.
