Let me just start off by saying that I have been begging my husband to have breakfast at this restaurant for over a year. Finally today he agrees and off we go. Albeit later than our usual start we find ourselves being seated and advised that on Sundays it is a 3 course brunch. Currently they bring a flask of water with a jar screw top and two empty glasses. We are asked for our desired drinks and left with a menu for our main selection. I was happy to see prime rib on the menu as it is one of my favorite meats. The coffee was delicious and the first course of pastries, yogurt, fruit, and jam was fabulous. The music was jazzy and playing softly in the background. At this point I am in heaven. He takes our main course order. My hubby doesn't know what to choose and picks the middle of the menu center of the page. This happens to be huevos ranchers. Should be great as we have a huge mexican population in our town. I of course choose the prime rib and I am super excited about it. Just enough time passes by to allow us to finish our coffees and first course then our mains arrive. At first glance they look delectable my cut of meat looks perfect. I do see at this time that they have drowned my meat in an au jus sauce and there is this beautiful crust of what I was hoping to be deliciousness all around my steak cut. So I cut a little piece off for myself and one for my husband so he can try it. At this point I put my piece in my mouth and begin to chew and swallow it when the back of my throat is hit with a large amount of granules of burnt salt. A whole lot of them. I tried holding back from spitting my food out on the table as I am fighting with the lid of the water to quell my ragging throat. Finally I gulp down some water and the piece of meat and begin hacking and coughing into my napkin. At this time my husband has now ventured to try his piece of meat that he immediately spat out into a side plate next to him and he as well then proceeded to down a few glasses of water. The waiter comes over my husband is very vocal about how bad my meal was. I was asked several times if I wanted to change my main, but I had found the horseradish cream sauce and had selected a few inner sections of the steak to drown in the sauce. I ate the asparagus a few pieces of steak and was happy to call it quits when the manager comes to the table to address the concerns over the terrible food. He proceeds to tell me that he understands it can be very salty for people because it is after all a very big piece of meat and it is covered in salt. He then insists on bringing me another main with au jus on the side and all of the crust taken off of it. As he brings it to the table he admits that it was quite salty even for a salt lover as himself. He then proceeds to tell me that I will be just fine it's only a little salt. By the way I haven't said very much up to this point as I do not like to return food to the kitchen and would normally not be very vocal about my experience. I am the kind of person that would just not frequent your restaurant again in the future. Now onto my husband's plate. Huevos ranchers plated in a bowl with fried eggs that looked more like flat day old eggs and refried beans that looked more like purred bean soup poured over the tortillas and everything else it could slosh onto. These beans had a very strong herb and spice combo to them and it made the dish very difficult to eat. Such a shame because if the dish had been platted correctly even if you didn't like the beans, if the eggs had been overlight and the tortillas not covered in that horrendous goop you would have salvaged that dish. Okay so at this point the restaurant is beginning to get very busy and that pleasant jazzy music has now been turned up to drown out the conversations and it is so loud that it is no longer my happy place. Out comes the third course 6 beautiful mini pastries that would have been the "piece de resistance" had the mains been palletable. Those pastries almost made up for...

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at Americana Bar and Grill for my 50th birthday celebration in September 2024. While the venue itself is nice and clean, the service and several other aspects of the event were significantly lacking.
Positive Points: Clean and pleasant atmosphere: The restaurant is well-maintained and has a welcoming ambiance. Competent bartender: The bartender was polite and prepared drinks efficiently. Main course dinner: the main course dinner was good. Negative Points: Lack of management presence: There was no visible manager on duty throughout the event, making it difficult to address concerns or requests. Rude and inattentive server: The server was not only rude but also seemed uninterested in providing good service. She was dismissive of our requests and made my guests feel uncomfortable. Insufficient hors d'oeuvres: The quantity of hors d'oeuvres was inadequate for the number of guests (45 people). For example, the salmon appetizer was only rotated once, which served no more than 5-6 people. Some guests later mentioned that they did not get any appetizers. Missing ordered items: Despite paying for hummas and pita, these items were not on the table. We had to tell the servers that this was overlooked. Poor service and communication: The server was not only rude but also unhelpful. There was a lack of communication and the server seemed uninterested in addressing the issues and concerns. Pokebowl salad was without tuna for my vegetarian guests and when asked upon to confirm by guests, server incorrectly told them that there is tuna so my vegetarian Guests did not eat it.
Technical issues -The projector's audio was not working, preventing us from playing important video messages from my son and my sisters. We were told by server there is no audio. This was a significant disappointment as it was a key part of our celebration. (Later confirmed by manager that audio does exist and they play it every weekend)
Incorrect cake order: The cake did not match the requested color theme (hot pink) and was instead decorated with orange flowers, which dampened my mood. Despite sending a picture of the desired cake to their bakery, they failed to follow the instructions. Excessive fees: The restaurant charges a high fee for cutting an outside cake (3 dollars per person), which would have amounted to almost $150 for our party. Additionally, there would be extra fees for customizations such as fresh fruit in the cake, again 3$ per person. My recommendation, get cake from outside and pay the cutting charges, atleast you will get what you like. I paid 265$ for the cake with vanilla custard filling which was just vanilla and couldn't taste custard in it.
Unresponsive management: When I contacted the manager Athena after the event to provide feedback, she was dismissive, deflective and unhelpful. She rushed to disconnect the call and seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns. A few days later another manager Melanie called who did listen to me but had no substantive response.
Suggestions: • The food items should be labeled so there is no confusion. • A small box of food should be packed for the host at the end as the host does not get to eat in their own party • An assigned manager should introduce themselves to the host as we had no one to go to
I recommend that potential customers carefully consider these issues before choosing Americana Bar and Grill for a special occasion. The lack of management presence, poor service, and technical issues made our celebration an unnecessarily stressful and...
