Like previous reviews we've found this Panera hit or miss in the past and usually try to go to a different Panera because of that. Because it is more convenient we visited this Panera twice in the last several weeks and things seemed to be better, but it seems to be on the downhill slide again. We ordered a You Pick Two soup and sandwich and 1/2 size Fuji Apple Chicken salad. We also cashed in a reward for a free bagel if you spent $2.00. The size of the salad was fine, but it was very short on chicken (only a few pre-cut bite sized pieces) and there were literally only two apple chips, light on pecans and tomatoes as well--mostly just lettuce. The sandwich consisted of three very thin slices of meat 2-3" long on about four inches of bread, which wasn't all that fresh. The cheese was maybe half a slice if I'm being generous. While the salad was expensive for what you got, the price of the You Pick Two given the lack of meat on the sandwich was ridiculous. We ordered French baguette for the sides and it also was stale. The "reward" bagel wasn't much of a reward! It was so hard it could have doubled for a hockey puck. TOTALLY inedible! The people working clearly did not want to be there, and when we asked for butter for the bread as we picked up or order, the young man behind the counter made a nasty comment and then proceeded to give us a cup full. It was so ridiculous we actually counted them and there were sixteen. You can get a much better meal for the same prices at other restaurants so I think tonight was our last tip to the East...
Read moreHORRIBLE management. Yesterday I went to Panera in my hometown as I normally do, ordered from the Kiosk and accidentally ordered from someone else's account (random person). I spotted the manager, asked if he could please help me, he looked at me and said "I am not doing that" turned his back to me and went to the back of the restaurant. Is this part of your Panera Management Training? Ignore customers when they kindly ask for your help? Very shameful that this is your "tone at the top" in this location. Not only did I not enjoy my food after that sad encounter, but I also lost a "Panera visit". I went back to the manager after finishing my meal to see what I could do to get my "visit" on my account and he was very rude to me the whole time and said there was nothing he could do. But why could he not cancel my order at the very start when I initially asked for help? It is fine if at the end of the day there was nothing that could be done, but him walking away from someone who needed help was what disturbed me the most. I NEVER write reviews for any place but I needed to put this out there because I'm ashamed that this is attitude someone in...
Read moreMy husband went inside to order because he had just picked me up from being in hospital which I was on a liquid diet. I LOVE the Panera's on Route 18. So very disappointed to get my food it was cold. I ordered the teriyaki, broccoli & chicken bowl. I order this all the time and it has always been hot so extremely disappointed to get it cold. I couldn't eat it and lost my appetite. I am one that I personally don't like to take things back because I'm afraid of people spitting in my food. I will just write a review and that always hurts them worst. So for the people who make the food please make it correctly the first time. I also understand no one is perfect but a bad review is always more hurtful. I also will not go back to that location and I will tell others my experience was disappointing. It's tough dealing with food I can only imagine how challenging it could be but if you are having a bad day just call out and don't go into work because you are just hurting your establishment and if they lose business they will close and then you are out of a job. Just saying I know we all have bad days but don't bring it to...
