El Dorado Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Easton

With all the rave reviews about this restaurant I was anxious to visit this establishment with my wife since Mexican food is one of our favorite cuisines! Upon arrival there was only one waiter servicing at least 8-9 tables with no assistance from Management to assist in accommodating the customers needs. It took at least 15 minutes after seating us for a waiter to take our order. When the food finally arrived the food seemed dry and tasteless with minimal sauce which is not typical when ordering the Chimichanga at other Mexican restaurants. The chicken Chimichanga was extremely dry which made it difficult to digest. Even the salad…if you want to call it this… came without any salad dressing. The waiter never came back to our table to check up on us to see how things were going or to see if we needed any refills on our drinks….he was a no show and disappeared into the sunset. The atmosphere in general seemed so cold and lifeless, there customer service was extremely disappointing for our first experience at this restaurant. We visited this restaurant today Saturday 11/25 around 2pm. Yes, the waiter seemed overwhelmed with serving multiple tables( which was no fault of his own), this was due to poor management and not providing additional servers to facilitate the customers needs. Poor management and the food being tasteless and dry compounded the issue even further. This is an honest assessment of my experience at this restaurant today and I hope Management can make the adjustments internally in an effort to maintain repeat customers. I understand there is a language barrier but this was so bad it took 15 min to order 2 things and when I went there I spent 20 min going through my insane bill that made no sense. It was $75 all I ordered was 1 chimichangas, cheese burger and chips and salsa. They charged me with 2 chimichangas 3 cheese sauces ($14) . They seemed annoyed with me because they messed up my order. They charge you for chips and sals to which is crazy. Their food used to be identical to the other Mexican place tapitia which is why I ordered there as I loved it a few years ago but it’s completely different. The chimichanga is nasty dry and has some red sauce inside. I’m paying almost $20 which is ridiculous and a cheese burger is almost as much . I asked for the white sauce they give with the chips and salsa and she said ok it’s $5 I was like what??? I paid and it was melted cheese not the white sauce which I guess they don’t serve anymore ether . All I got was I chimichanga, cheese burger , chips and salsa and melted cheese in a small cup and it cost me $50 that is absolutely ridiculous. The other Mexican place gives chips and salsa plus the white sauce FREE . The rudeness over there mistakes , the cost and the nasty quality of food I will never go back again. Why change your food when it used to be amazing. So disappointing. This was my wife's and I first time comming here and I must say this was a absolute pleasure we got seated right away with no wait time the server took our order for drinks and gave us time to look at the menu without rushing us (big bonus in my book) when he came back we put in a order for nachos as a appetizer we waited maybe 3 mins and boom a big plate of freshly made nachos at the table everything was fresh and covered perfectly not half ass like alot places our waiter came back maybe 8 mins later took our dinner order and when I say this place is fast we didn't even get a quarter way threw the nachos before our hot meal was there but we didn't feel rushed to eat anything our server (I wish I knew his name) checked on us every 20ish mins this place dosnt skimp on making plates either everything was fresh hot and perfectly flavored i will say this though the only downfall to this whole place is the paper straws so if you plan on going id recommend bringing a reusable straw with you unless u dont mind paper straws other than that the food was amazing the service was awsome even the music they played over the speakers was nice u can still hold a conversation without having to yell but u can still hear the music playing overall this is a amazing place to sit down and have some authentic...
