We booked a table of 2 for a birthday dinner, since we read a lot of positive reviews online, we decided to drive 40 minutes to try this restaurant. When we arrived, we were acknowledged by the only waitstaff a lady, who said she’d seat us soon. We waited about 5 minutes or so to be seated. The waitress seemed stressed and overwhelmed since she was the only person attending to all the tables that evening. She had no help from another person who was around and he looked like the one in charge. This manager/ owner went to all the tables chatting/ having conversations, but not once stopped by our table to ask how the meal was. The waitress was too busy to really pay attention to us/ check on our meal expect for when she took the order, served food, cleared the table or bought in our check. There were a few other tables next to ours and they seemed like regular customers since the manager was extremely friendly with them, but he totally ignored us like we weren’t even present (almost discriminatory). The food in our opinion was very average for the price they charge. It was a huge disappointment and we wish we had gone elsewhere, where we would have had better value for money and service for a 100$ meal. Totally ruined the birthday evening. We were hoping to have a good dining experience, but left with regret for having chosen to go to this restaurant. This maybe a good place for regulars ( who get special treatment) but don’t bother going...
Read moreFour of us had reservations for 6 p.m. at Tiramisu last night. My husband and I arrived early and were directed to a table that was close to the front door. Since there was only one other couple in the bar area we asked if we could possibly have the table behind the one reserved for us. The young lady went over to a waiter (one who has served us a number of times in the past) and his belligerent comment was, "No! No! A table is a table" so we sat at the assigned table.
When we got the bill we had been charged $148 for 3 cups of coffee - obviously a mistake. It took us a couple of minutes to get the attention of the waiter and he came over, apologized and took the bill back to be changed. After a few more minutes we got the bill, checked it and gave the waiter our credit cards and had to wait to sign them. At that point the young busboy came over and told us we had to leave because there were people waiting for our table.
Obviously, if we had received the right bill to start with we would have been out the door. My husband and I have been to this restaurant well over twenty times and really enjoy the food, but unfortunately we now have no desire to go back because of the appalling way we...
Read moreHad an awesome dinner there with another couple last Saturday. Parking was a little tight. We ate outside on a little covered patio. I had their artichoke antipasti and it was fabulous. The rest enjoyed the Caesar salad. For entree, I had their thin sliced and breaded veal. Very different and very good. It is very thin but oh so flavorful. It's a specialty of the chef's which he brought with him from Rome. My wife had the veal scaloppine which was excellent. The other couple each had different pasta dishes which I didn't get to try but they really enjoyed. For dessert, the girls had tiramis, my friend a chocolate cake (wonderful), and I had cheesecake, which was literally soft cheese on a piece of cake. I knew that before I ordered. Not the highlight of the meal, my penchant for trying new things isn't always the best for me, but still interesting and enjoying. A little pricey maybe but 4 apps, 4 entrees, 4 desserts, and 6 glasses of wine plus bottled not tap water...
