Pita Street — Restaurant in Eastvale

I don't know why this is called a Mediterranean restaurant the food had zero Mediterranean flavor. I should have known as soon as I walked in. Anywhere that shawarma is served, the meat is displayed in plain view and carved in front of you. Here, the traditional large, juicy, hot shawarma was no where to be seen.

Shawarma Fries a very large serving of French fries covered in pickled onions, olives, white sauce and a ton of meat. Too much meat. And the worst, flavorless meat I have ever had. This beef was what would be passed off as shawarma in other dishes also. It was thin strips of some beef with no flavor. No salt, pepper, no spice at all - terrible.

Shawarma platter - basmati rice yellow? I have never seen basmati rice at any Mediterranean restaurant that was yellow. It was weird tasting too. The salad was regular from a bag with some tomatoes. Hummus was plain.The veggies zucchini and peppers didn't really go with the disjointed weird combo of food. The meat - Chicken and beef was supposed to be shawarma but tasted nothing like shawarma. No spices at all. Very bad.

Chicken Kabob platter - same weird rice. same bag salad. same ok hummus. Threw on some veggies Chicken was orange color but had absolutely no flavor. Just bad

Falafel wrap - 4 falafel in a pita bread with some lettuce from a bag and some pickles. Not good.

Baklava - so bad. Dry. It was like they forgot the sweet honey sauce that they pour over the filo to make it baklava

I feel bad to write a bad review of a restaurant because of how hard it is these days but I cannot believe how bad the food was. The meat was just so terrible.

If I could give it a zero I would. The only positive I can say is that the lady at the register was pleasant. I ordered the salmon platter and it was awful. The menu stated salmon was 8oz it was not. It was overcooked almost like jerky so I couldn't even eat it. The veggies were seasoned with some musty seasoning and the olives tasted canned. The hummus was flavorless. My husband ordered the falafel wrap and my daughter had the chicken nuggets with fries. My daughter's stomach started hurting while we were there eating but we just thought she was full. After we finished our meals we went next door to shop and suddenly my daughter had to get to a restroom. We left the soccer store and went back to the restaurant so she could use the restroom then my husband urgently had to go. They did not even eat the same things. My son ordered the chicken shawarma wrap but didn't care for the sauce so he like me did not eat. Thank goodness because we did not have any urgent bathroom room dashes. Maybe a clue should have been that only one other customer was eating there when we arrived and during that time one person picked up an order and another group of 3 came in. It was around 4 I believe so I thought maybe because we were way after lunch and way before dinner??? We won't...

Although the food was fine, they have the absolute worst customer service. I refuse to support this business after the way I have been treated multiple times. They either do not answer, put you on hold and hang up, get your order wrong and argue with you that you hadn't ordered whatever was missing or it was your fault and now they are charging me for an order that I was trying to cancel and never received.

I had placed an order through their online system which had a pickup time of 25 minutes then received a notification that it would be an hour till my order was ready. After calling for 15 minutes someone answered and told me that it wasn't their problem and hung up on me.

I never went to pick up the order and they still marked it as being picked up in their system which prevented me from canceling it through the postmates website. They took my money and didn't provide the service, instead bickered at me and gave excuses as to why their hands were tied and why they don't answer the phone.

Horrible customer service. Will be contacting the BBB and letting them know that this business is a fraud. Stealing money and not taking...
