*REVIEW UPDATEDâSEE BELOW FOR UPDATE
French Silk Pie Cookie looked nothing like pictured and tasted nothing like it has in the past. Chocolate was darker and had more of a bitter taste. Texture was also offâŠrather than firm, it was a runny pudding. First pic was what it was supposed to be. The next 2 are of what I got. Just a NO.
*I stand by my comments regarding the Crumbl French Silk Pie cookie. However, the Eden Prairie location reached out to me within 24 hours and offered their sincere apologies as well as a resolution. They also mentioned that ârecipesâ change.
I still wondered if it was a fluke that the cookies I got were not as intended, or whether that truly is how the new flavor is supposed to be. I got online and checked out some posts from other people who had purchased this weekâs French Silk Pie variety from other locations, and they look largely the same as the ones I received. Again, NOTHING like the stock photo in the app.
My frustration is now with CRUMBL as a chain, as I feel they sort of set the franchisees up for frustration from long-time customers who are familiar with original flavors and have come to expect a previous recipe. CRUMBL as a company should have 1. Updated their stock photo to accurately depict the new French silk pie cookie variation, and 2. Updated the name to something slightly different to avoid confusion.
All of that said, Eden Prairie Crumbl is a class act and I would recommend this locationâŠjust not necessarily the French Silk Pie cookie (though you may still enjoy the cookie if you arenât familiar with the original, which was over the top,...
Read moreI placed a catering order for our company's employee appreciation event last week and had a terrible experience when it came time to pick them up. Despite calling several times leading up to the event/our pick up time (including the morning of) to make sure that everything was "in order" and will be ready to go and ordering within the time frame that they recommended, they were not even close to having our cookies ready to be picked up. The boxes were not even put together for the cookies and I left there 40 minutes late (and was late for our event). It was not busy at the store when I arrived (I was the only one in there) and the 3 employees working had no sense of urgency whatsoever despite being so late. The most frustrating part was the rudeness and snotty attitude that one specific employee demonstrated toward me. I would NOT recommend or trust using this location for picking up cookies when placing a larger order (ours was 100 "regular" cookies) despite doing it well in advance. I wanted to get a personal order of cookies for my family later on, but decided to go out of my way to drive to the Minnetonka location (hwy 7 &101) and had a very nice experience at...
Read moreHave been waiting for this place to open because of the hype! Introverts will be very put off by the "Welcome to Crumble!" that gets yelled (twice) whenever someone enters; the crew tonight was obviously tired of doing this. Also, the lighting is painfully bright. Be forewarned.
Much of the menu consists of cookies that are at the intersection of dessert and breakfast, containing lots of different sugary cereals. As this was our first visit we went for the gold standard -- a chocolate chip cookie.
There are two types of chocolate chip cookies in this world: the crispy, and the cakey. Lovers of the cakey will be in heaven with these oversized cookies! Lovers of the crispy, though, do not despair -- the outer edges of this cookie are a delight! Somehow this cookie has managed to be both crispy AND cakey. So just pair yourself up with a cakey cookie lover and you're all good to split a $4.75 cookie.
5/10 for experience and 9/10 for the product. We're big fans of the self-serve stations, and would love this place if we didn't have to talk to anyone. The giant stand mixers on display near the front of the store are worth the price of admission in...
