Shake Shack Southdale — Restaurant in Edina

I'm sorry but I had high hopes for this place. I was sadly mistaken. I walked in and it was a very cold reception, no one seemed inviting just cold attitudes. I asked about a burger, the truffle burgers sauce, the kid behind the counter cut me off telling me "Were out." I'm like....ok. so I ordered a smoke shack burger, a 6 piece nugget and a root beer. The kid told me to hold on as he yelled to an employee at the back asking if they had root beer. She looked like a deer in headlights all befuddled smh 🙄 then she asks another lady who may have been a supervisor if they had root beer. She copped and attitude as if they were annoying her with the question. She snapped at the girl and fumbled trying to get a plastic cup. She looked at them and hit the tap.... Nothing came out. Then she said "Nothing coming out!" The kid behind the register must have not heard her so he asked if there was any root beer, she snapped at him sound VERY belittling saying "NOTHING COMING OUT!" He says to me we're out of that too. I just shook my head and asked him for a fountain soda so no more friction happens. Sheesh 🙄. The kid behind the register has already asked me if I was eating in or taking it to go, and what my name was, but asked me again. I walked to the fountain side area to fill my cup and LAWDY!!! It was rather filthy. Most know that if you have stainless steel countertops and such they show filthiness very well. Welp that's what I saw. I just grabbed my soda (what was supposed to be a Coke, but after leaving and tasting it, tasted like seltzer water 🤢) they called my name and I picked up my food. I was hungry so when I left I tried to eat the nuggets on my ride home. DEAR LORD those little things were SO greasy!! I mean they were so greasy you could lube your car parts with the grease. As you can see in the pictures my fingers 🤌 were glistening. The breading was falling off the nuggets it was all bad. I tried two pieces... Why did I do that? Am I a glutton for punishment? My stomach was NOT okay. At home I tried the burger 🍔. It was okay nothing much to say about that. Average at best. Expensive and average, a shame. All in all, bad customer service, food nasty 🤢 to average, they need to change the soda fountain and they need an attitude adjustment. Will I be back... That's a negative...

Tried Shake shack for the first time, At first I was hesitant with going because, a good friend of mine told me that the service and food at this location was bad. But I wanted to try it for myself before giving it the thumbs up or thumbs down! So for me I had an interesting experience, I ordered a malt and a shake, one for myself and another for my friend (The malt of courses was for me) So we waited about 10 to 15 minutes to get our food and shakes.. which to me, that seems a little long for something that I would consider fast food. But that's beside the point, when we got our shake and malt we had a tough time differentiating the two, so I asked one of the employees could make me a new one which one of them please talk to a couple of the other people and they're all trying to figure out why the malt was that way. A few minutes later.. what I perceive as the manager comes over and he then begins to tell me how should I say school me on how a malt should taste... I don't know if he understood how he was going about explaining it but to me all I really wanted was a new malt, I didn't want to hear the definition of what he believed on what a good malt should taste like. So long story short, they made me another malt.. it tastes a little bit better nice and creamy with little bit of crunchy and of course that nice malt taste which everyone who likes molts would understand what I mean. But the thing that got me a little frustrated was the fact that all the employees after this was done kept talking about the situation as almost if it was my fault for having them remake a malt at the end of the night. Me personally! when I go out to a restaurant and the order isn't done correctly to my liking I don't want to hear all the employees and the manager bicker about who did the job correctly or not, To me I don't care, just get your job done and make me a new malt! I don't plan on every going back unless a friend or family member forces me too. Thumbs down! I maybe back in the future to take some pictures for Google. So next time try a little better so I can review you better! Please...

Just doesn’t compare to all the other great higher quality burger places in the Twin Cities, including chains like Myburger or even Five Guys.

I ordered a double, fries, and shake. Shake was decent, nothing special. Fries were crispy crinkle fries with very little salt or flavor, again, nothing special but not bad either. Burger was fine, but seemed small and not especially memorable for the price and 25 minute wait time. They have a limited menu of burger choices and seem to bank on the fact that their main cheeseburger is delicious, but there was very little about the cheese, patty, or bun to make it stand out. Again, not a bad cheeseburger, just didnt live up to the hype and I wont be coming back for it.

Layout of the resteraunt did not make sense at the Southdale mall location. There were booths right next to the food pickup and condiment stations, and there was no clear place to stand to wait for anything without being in someones way. They give you buzzers, but when it buzzes you come to the crowded counter to be told to wait for your name to be called. After standing in someones way for a minute. They call your name like you arent right in fromt if them already. I felt bad for the staff, it didnt seem like this was their favorite...
