La Paloma Taqueria-Tortilleria — Restaurant in Edinburg

The food is delicious 😋 but their service is horrible! Waited about 25 min for our food, 4 tacos, however a customer comes in about 8 minutes after us and in 2 mins gets her food. The employee knew her by name so obviously her order was prioritized. Then another customer comes in about 10min after us, orders about 5 tacos and within like 3 min, had their food too. And no they did not order beforehand, I clearly heard them placing their order. Also the employee who took our order had no sense of urgency, instead she was chatting away with a customer. Had to keep asking to check on my order. If I had no urgency, then I wouldn’t had minded as much. Usually 10-15 min is enough to pick up a few breakfast tacos. The food is good, but they need to work on their customer service since they have none. So if you’re planning on picking up food to go, make sure to call in your order way way ahead of time or have like 45min to spare to get your...

After a long time of not visiting this place, I returned to see what to eat, it has a good menu and I opted to eat gorditas de carne guisada, very delicious, the next day I returned and placed same order again, but I had to wait for double time like 15 minutes because a woman arrived after me and asked the same what I ordered and when my order came out FIRST she give it to her and it seemed like the one who gives the orders gave it to her because apparently she was a known or frequent customer and that is why they favored her. The food is great, but service needs to improve. It's happened twice before, and said I wouldn't come back, but my kids wanted their barbacoa because it is the best.....3rd time it happens.. place order by phone to pick up..get there & get in line like everyone else (I'm not disrespectful like others that walk up to counter). What do they do, serve 2 others that walked in after me because they know them. I tell them I was their 1st. Cashier replies I'll be quick & they ordered. I replied, I ordered too. She replies it's not ready, with my order sitting on counter. Wow! No apology. That's not right...
