My Place Cafe — Restaurant in Edinburg

Terrible experience. And it all came down to service. Food was fair. Ordered breakfast. There were two other tables occupied and one already had their food. Took approximately 45 min to get food. The waitress seemed to forget about us and didn’t get us refills on coffee. Had to ask another waitress for the coffee. Then after our meal when we paid they over charged us. The menu had one price and they charged us 2.$ extra. Then they had a sign promoting tacos for 1.19 outside and charged us 4.50 for the two tacos to go. We brought it to the owners attention and after seemed to be a debate he gave us back 2$ and didn’t want to honor the sign for tacos outside. Very disappointing to say the least. They had a political fundraiser today and I was given a ticket for a coffee and a taco my friend was not given a ticket BUT they did give her a styrofoam cup and a plastic stirer as I did for my free cup and she ordered a regular meal. When paying they refused to give the coffee free I pointed out that if u r a paying customer u don't get a foam cup and u get a actual spoon. The owner or father to the said "come on u drank the coffee". Not a appropriate response. The waitress named Zoila was very rude and is hard of hearing. She pretended to not know what we were saying and then just walked off before we were done asking her about our order. The other waitress was nice and tried to make an excuse of why she was rude but that should have not even have had to happen. There was a hair in food of one of the plates as well. Not likely to come back here. The owner was very nice and friendly but he may need to talk to his staff about customer service. If you don’t want to wait on people then don’t get a waitress job....
