I will give a complete and honest account of my experience at this particular location...this McDonald's is very nice on the inside and outside. I've seen comments saying it was remodeled. This McDonald's is actually new. The old McDonald's was torn down completely and rebuilt. The recurring issue with this location is management's inability to communicate effectively with the employees and the customer. Example:On more than one occasion I deliberately Ordered a fish combo and asked the person taking the order I would like it fresh, then stood by the counter to see if he/She would relay that to the fry cook...no message was relayed and I let them bring me my order and I asked again if it was fresh (mind you the person who bought me my order was the cashier who took my order)he said "it should be fresh" My reply was" I stood by the counter waiting for you to tell them to drop a fresh fish and you didn't " I asked for the manager on duty she kindly made me another fish Sandwich and assured me I would get fresh fries as well ...then a young lady an employee bought me my fish and NO fries....everyone blamed everyone else...nobody took responsibility for their mistakes. I offered some advice..you must keep an open line of communication. I'm hoping that this advice will be taken seriously. It's a shame, this McDonald's is very nice and I believe that management and employees could do better..they themselves have Impeded their own ability to be a shining and perfect example of what customer service is what suppose to be about ..For a restaurant that is the leader of the pack in the fast food service industry...they have fallen so far behind in customer service satisfaction that the public has totally lost faith ,trust and...
Read moreThis McDonald's has a great location on University and Jackson Rd. The parking lot fills up at peak times as does the drive through. However, if you can get them, there are some parking spaces with good shade on the Jackson Road side.
When you enter, don't expect anyone to greet you. They want you to use one of several kiosks to order your meal, but you can go to the counter and order there. I found the kiosks to be cumbersome if you want anything customized... you can do it, but it takes longer. The most friendly thing about this McDonald's is the kiosk prompter.
I placed my order at the kiosk, but paid for UT at the counter, so I still had to wait my turn. The young lady who operated the register was efficient. She didn't have a problem making change.
I don't know how fast fast-food is supposed to be. Five minutes? Ten? After paying for one burger, I stood waiting for it to be fulfilled. Others who paid after me received their orders before me, but that's not necessarily uncommon. According to the time stamp on my receipt, I waited 12 minutes. Is that fast or slow?
The good news is my order was made as I specified, was hit and fresh.
If you dine in, there are modern looking tables and chairs, a bar and stools, and some tables for children that even light up.
Overall, it's a nice McDonald's, but the service has room for...
Read moreI ordered through the app around 11:30 pm, I ordered and parked in the 2 spot because the usual 3 and 4 were missing and they never showed up. I get off and I find out they do not make filet-o-fish after 11 pm so they didn't make it nor did they even look for me to let me know. When I told them I was waiting on 2, the shift manager very rudely told me that online pick up was only in the front (even though they were missing) and when I tried to explain why I parked in that spot, she continued to be condescending and rude. Why are the mobile order spots labeled 3 and 4? It doesn't specify on the app and any logical person is going to assume there has to be a 1 and 2 as well. In order to avoid confusion, bad service and rude treatment, let a person know you can only park in 3 and 4 or call them mobile pickup 1 and 2. Let the stores know they shouldn't decide to remove spots. It defies the purpose of online ordering. I went earlier in the day and they had removed the 4 spot. The shift manager (last name Aguirre?) at this store needs a course on how to handle a customer complaint because she acted like a petulant child. I went to this McDonald's 3 times today, but will...
