Last night I went to Wingbarn behind academy and next to the expressway. I was welcomed in (hence, the two stars.). My partner and I were at front looking at the menu with no one behind us. The cashier, whoever she was, asked us what we will be ordering (not even in a nice way) and felt rushed because of the way she delivered it. Anyways, we ordered 10 wings for $14.50 which wasnât a big deal, but it became a deal when she asked us if we wanted to make it a meal. We said yes and it amounted to $17.88, which again, wasnât a big deal. But when I asked if the meal came with a drink, she stated âNoâ and that it would have to be purchased separately ($2.30ish). We had no idea, she immediately got on the phone and asked us to go to a different cashier. We donât frequent this place, we donât know. But I couldnât help but murmur out loud, âin what world doesnât a MEAL come with a drink.â This is common sense to the common folk, meal = beverage, protein, side. Literally go to any place and making a âmealâ or âcomboâ is everything. Donât believe me? Go to wing stop and youâll see â10 wings, boneless, fries, and DRINKâ for ~$7 less as well!
So either Iâm being finessed or yâall lack common sense, donât use the term âmealâ if it isnât a complete meal. Yâall are overcharging as well when Wingstop sells a true meal for ~$13.00
At the end of the day, the lady should have been more transparent, she should have stated âSir, the âmealâ does not with a drink, would you like to add that?â This simple lack of communication is what frustrated me the most, train these people right.
I was even hesitant on trying the food because the lady who packaged my food into the boxes was dry and knew what was going on since she assisted me on the purchase of the drink. No idea what she could have done to our food while packaging our food â At least, thatâs what her dry attitude gave me. Teach your staff good manners.
I hate to assume about people and my apologies if I come across a judgemental, but you need to fix the staffâs attitude and communication skills. We get that they work long shifts, but we donât control that and we are not a target range for their lack of communication, dry attitude, and pressure to order things. We came in with a good attitude, but after the welcome, we felt pressured to make a decision already and thatâs when it spiraled down hill.
Itâs a shame we didnât get the customer service apparently everyone else left in these reviews...

As I spoke to the associate she told me In order to place my order I would have to give my card information over the phone. I said it was fine as I told her the information she asked if I could stop and repeat slower I kindly said sure. She gave me a 25-30 min wait time I said not a problem when I got to the store instead having them bring it to me I did them the favor of going in side seeing that there pickup parking was full. As I waited in line I notice to different signs one for dine in and one for pick up online orders so I kindly asked the front staff by the name of Audrey she looked at me and said oh itâs wherever. I said no maâam i mean I ordered over the phone in advanced. She rolled her eyes and turned and started helping another customer. After noticing a large table of ready orders and watching other customer just asking for there order I made my way to that table and kindly asked for my order she handed my order to me and I said thank you may I speak to a manager. She looked at me and stated âhuh we are very busy right now turned around and walked away.â I waited still trying my best to keep my cool she comes back and I had placed my bags of food on a table that had been used. After watching the associate come back she started to clean that table I was on after there were many other tables to clean looks at me and says uh can you move so I can clean. Not once but twice!!! After the second time I said I need your name and the associate at the front counter she asked WHY?! I said Iâd like to talk to the manager about your customer service she told Me under her breath and try to walk away I said Iâm sorry I didnât hear you she then stated Sam and Audrey. What happen to CUSTOMER SERVICE? I was so disappointed I get that Iâm not the only One in the store but come on! Sam and Audrey next time you go to a store with your mom or grandparent think about this.. if someone were to treat them the way you guys treated me today how would you feel? I could of easily went to wing stop thatâs 10 Seconds away from your store but I choose you guys instead.
It really sucked to be treated that way by you girls today.

   Read moreHello every other week i go to wingbarn restaurant on Tuesday or Thursday and sometimes monday for the deals you guys have on wings. Today it happened where the cashier name Nancy and last name i believe said D in the receipts at wingbarn but for sure first name correct address 4013, I-69C, Edinburg, TX 78539, took our ordered and didnt know what deals they had going on today. I normally order the buy 5 get 5 wings with purchase of drink n fries. So today we found out thats offdelete and now.you guys have buy full chicken burger meal n get other free. So i understood the promotion no longer exists so we proceed to our order and we ordered our usual where 2 combos of 10 wing traditional original hot leamon pepper and leamon pepper. So she only gave us and charged us 1 10 meal combo and 5 alone wings where we end up paying 28 dollars. 10 minutes later my fiance wanted more 5 since they messed up so i go and re ordered just 5 wings alone and let her know she messed up on out first order and did not charge us two 10 meals combos. Her excuse was "sorry its just that i only have two more days of work and all im thinking its just two days two days and im free" and yet still giggles thinking its funny. I immediately wanted to cancel my order and just leave knowing she not only realized she did mess up but yet has the BALLS to say that in my face thinking its funny. I would always attend to wingbarn in 10th street McAllen Tx and since they opened up new here in Edinburgh closer to home stated to go to that one and this kind kf service happened. Wont attend to wingbarn at all anymore knowing they have these kind of employees not caring about putting customers order first and on top of that the manager on duty didnt even know the new deal Monday changed that they had to call someone else to find out about it.
