Noodles Plus — Restaurant in Edison

First time eating here because I live close by. Not impressed. Might be the worst Asian food I’ve ever had. Sorry, I feel bad saying this but the food was very basic and lacked flavor. I should have got sushi at Shoprite (which isn’t that great either at the Edison location) and saved myself the $. Def would not go back. Ordered about 6 items and everything was just ok or below mediocre. Tasted like cheap food that you could get anywhere including the grocery store. Not sure how their ratings are so good. The lady at the counter was very nice though. Place was completely empty inside. Now I know why. Wish I could give a better review. Oh and if you order online it automatically adds a rather large tip automatically if you don’t pay attention. Services both excellent & authentic Japanese & Taiwanese food managed by having a Taiwanese lady chef & a separate Japanese chef as well as 2 dedicated sushi makers on staff.

I went Sunday 8pm 3 weeks ago & ordered off only the Taiwanese small/street food menu: fried tofu squares, fried oyster pancake, fresh bamboo shoots in vinegar, green vegetables (translation eludes me) in garlic & 1 other item (forgot). This Taiwanese menu is a real delight as central NJ offers really no such menu closer than Flushing, Queens. All 3 were delicious with special mentions to the cake's sauce (the key ingredient) & the tofu's freshness.

This place is legit sushi central at a low price. If you are looking for affordable and quality sushi, look no further. If you go anywhere else, you are paying too much and not getting your moneys worth. The sushi is made well and tastes great, all for $4-6 per roll. You literally cannot beat that price. The sushi rolls are also adequately sized and they do not cheat you out of any sushi. I've been coming here for years now.

The inside has ample seating if you choose to eat here but I normally take the sushi to go. The staff are always nice and will do their best to accommodate you.
