I’ve been a loyal customer of this Subway location for years, and even worked here myself for three years. The owner and their family are incredibly kind, respectful, and always made this a welcoming place. Unfortunately, my recent visit was very disappointing due to the behavior of one particular employee.
I had placed an order for three Veggie Delight subs and politely asked for them to be toasted with onions and peppers. Instead, the employee started adding all the veggies without following the request. When I stayed near the counter to make sure the subs were made correctly—especially since I wanted the dressing on the bread, not the vegetables—she kept telling me to “go have a seat” in a very rude tone.
What was most upsetting was that she began speaking in Spanish to her friend (a customer), making an inappropriate comment about “why Indian people get Veggie Delight with no meat,” not realizing I understand Spanish. When I calmly addressed it and said her comment was offensive, she dismissed it by saying she was just talking to her friend. I respect that people can have private conversations, but making racial remarks in front of a customer is completely inappropriate.
I also asked for extra olives, and instead of adding them carefully, she threw them on the sub—so much so that some ended up on the floor. The whole experience felt rushed and careless.
When I politely asked for her name so I could report the issue properly, she refused to give it to me.
I truly believe she may have been having a bad day, but that doesn’t excuse the level of rudeness or the discriminatory behavior. I still have a great deal of respect for the owners—they’ve always been humble and gracious—and I hope they are made aware of this situation. I want this location to remain the welcoming, respectful Subway it’s...
Read moreStopped here after taking my mom to an appt locally that she couldn't eat prior to so thought I would run in to grab us something. Ordered my usual which is steak no cheese onions and ketchup and my mom tuna. Both 6 inch subs. Noticed immediatley how careful she was to put minimal tuna and steak on the sandwiches. Charged for cheese on the tuna even though it comes with the steak, and I didn't get cheese but anyway. When I asked for ketchup on the steak, she said sorry no more ketchup. I said OK, how about packets and she said no and offered me mayo, mustard etc. I said no I just want ketchup sooo. Do you think she cared? No, she still charged me full price! 2 six inches and one bottle of soda came to $19 and change! $20!!!! I could have gotten my mom's usual ham and swiss at quick check for $5.99 which is a big sandwich on a roll! I didn't realize how bad prices were here. I already knew she doesn't accept coupons, so I was just annoyed. I wanted to tell her to cancel my sandwich but with other customers waiting I didn't want to cause an issue. A discount or maybe no charge for the soda, something would have been appreciated and I would not be writing this. Character is everything. She is the owner. Her need to minimize the meat/tuna to save herself money and basically charge $10 for a 6 inch, no thanks. Wasn't that long ago my middle schooler was able to afford one after school sometimes. I can't imagine she is getting much business due...
Read moreSo, today made it my third visit to this subway within a two week span for lunch. Each time I've visited, I was helped by the same kind Indian woman (no name badges on). Today I went a different way and needed the GPS for a moment and when I saw the reviews I pulled over to read them. I've never seen "Maria" as many commented about. I've gone around 12pm-3pm each visit and never saw her, only the one Indian woman. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because today when I was making my simple sandwich they had no provolone. This wasn't the woman's fault, it's the owner not ordering enough stock and keeping a thorough inventory. If I'm paying 6.99 for a 6 inch sub and all I get on it is Turkey, provolone, lettuce and a little mayo----I'd expect you to have all the cheeses and meats in stock. I was watching her make my sub and I noticed she only put 3 slices of turkey on there folded in half. Just enough meat to cover the bread, I suppose.
UPDATE 05/23/25: Came in today for lunch and I was helped by the same very kind Indian woman--this time they had PLENTY of provolone along with all cheeses and as she was making my sandwich she put more than 3 slices which was the usual on all my previous visits, it made a huge difference in the taste of the sub! I upgraded my rating to 5 stars 🌟 and will be returning every week for...
