Wawa — Restaurant in Edison

Usually understaffed which makes for an aggravating start to the day. I frequently have to make a trip around the pumps because many are just closed, then, when I go inside to get coffee/breakfast/lunch on my way to work staff becomes nasty and aggressive because my car is out at the pump. If they had 3 people on the pumps it wouldn't be a problem. Often the breakfast Sizzli bar is empty, so I have to wait for something to be prepared by the one person working food, which is why I'm in the store for so long in the first place. Again, if they had an appropriate number of people working...I can't remember the last time I saw hashbrowns out for breakfast. Even if I order something many times the menu is limited as well, so then I have to choose something I didn't really want to begin with and make do. On top of that gas is usually more expensive than other nearby stations. Are they expecting me to pay extra for a dose of morning aggravation to start my day, because if I have to stay with my car until it's gassed up what's the point, it's like making 2 separate stops anyway. No thanks. Cheaper gas, better and more reliable food choices elsewhere, so that's what I'm doing...

When i arrived, the parking was great. There was a tiny line ...no problem purchase anything. The facility was clean. There was someone restocking the section with the fresh fruits , salads, etc. I really enjoyed the staff!! They were positive and welcoming! God bless everyone here. While I was trying to purchase my items, my anxiety and PTSD kicked in for some reason and I just started to get emotional and cried a bit. Some staff members in the sandwich section , saw me crying after i explained why i thought it was occurinh and they came out of their stations to just give me a hug! They did not have to do that at allllll but they did! I will never forget them for the rest of my life. That meant more than gold to me. I am going to call the regional director and let them know of the wonderful team members at this location!!!!! ❤️ 😢 BY the way the BLT SANDWICH,!!!! I love Wawa and I was very excited to see a new Wawa. However, this Wawa needs to do some more employee training. The food prep guys do not know how to properly prepare food. One visit, I ordered a chicken sandwich with light mayo. I should have just ordered a mayo sandwich because the guy plastered the sandwich with mayo. It was disgusting. Still, I gave them another chance. This time I ordered a pumpkin spice late. The late comes with chocolate drizzle. They put so much chocolate syrup in, that I couldn't drink it as is. I threw 1/2 of it away, added fresh brewed coffee to the other half, and still couldn't drink it because of how sweet and chocolately it was. Imagine paying $3.29 for coffee and having to go make a cup at home because the coffee is undrinkable.
