Read moreThis place is quickly earning a top spot among our favorite establishments for indulging in a fine meal or celebrating a special occasion. We've had the pleasure of visiting multiple times, and it consistently exceeds our expectations as a high-end, chef-driven French restaurant.
Prepare yourself for an impeccable display of culinary artistry. Every aspect of the food here is meticulously crafted, showcasing complex and sophisticated flavors, expert techniques, and the finest ingredients. The presentations are simply stunning, elevating each dish to a work of edible perfection. You can expect a multi-course affair that will leave you utterly impressed.
The staff is truly exceptional, demonstrating a deep knowledge of the sourcing and preparation of their offerings. Their passion shines through in their attentive service. No matter what you choose from the menu, you can be certain of an extraordinary culinary experience.
Now, let's delve into some honest feedback. The interior decor, while opulent, may lean towards the too extravagant side for some, as we are not in "Louis XVI France". Perhaps a touch of American luxury would strike a better balance. Furthermore, it's worth mentioning that the dining room can sometimes feel boring and empty due to its positioning as a special occasion destination sometimes the place is not very full. That being said, the quality of the experience outweighs any concerns related to ambiance.
While we're on the topic of honest feedback for improvements, some of the drink prices might raise an eyebrow or two. For instance, a $30 old fashioned may seem a bit steep, especially considering the portion size was a half empty pour. However, let me assure you that the overall experience makes up for these minor hiccups, although I suggest the restaurant be open to a few minor improvements.
During the spring and summer months, when the weather is nice, they offer a delightful alternative concept on the patio. It captures the spirit of a Parisian street-side bistro, boasting a more casual atmosphere and a slightly reduced price point menu compared to the fine, multi-course dining experience inside.
The waitstaff and sommeliers are exceptional, although it's worth noting that the authentic French cooking and meticulous techniques may lead to a slightly slower pace than what we're accustomed to as Americans. It's all part of the experience and well worth the wait.
In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional establishment for any special occasion or when you crave an exquisite dining experience. The service, the flavors, and the culinary craftsmanship all earn a resounding 5-star rating from us. While the ambiance receives a solid 3.8 stars, due to its extravagant nature, it remains appropriate for those seeking a refined setting. In terms of value, I'd confidently assign it 4 stars, recognizing the investment required for this caliber of dining. As for the wait time, a commendable 4 stars is fitting.
Without a doubt, we'll continue including this gem in our regular rotation of fine dining and special occasion venues. I strongly urge you to give this place a try. It promises to deliver an unforgettable experience that will leave you...
Read moreMagnifique! If you want a taste of France I highly suggest you try Fait Maison. If you know anything about European dining, don't expect to cone in, gobble down your food, hurry the server for your check, and leave. Our meal/service/experience lasted 3 hours. And I loved every minute of it!But what do you expect a 5 course service entails? The service is impeccable and you are greeted with a French speaking host who makes you feel like you had just stepped into a café in Bordeaux, France! The slow, steady pace of the service allows you to peruse the extensive wine list. And if you're unsure about wine pairings, the in-house sommelier can guide you to your perfect wine. The owner is warm and welcoming and is a great conversationalist. She's traveled the world and gave us the 411 how her vision came to pass.
Onto the food! Our 5 courses started with a pre-appetizer, complements of the chef. Followed by an amuse bouche and in-house made bread and butter! I could just eat the butter by itself! So creamy with just a hint of salt. Served at the perfect temperature, not runny, not rock hard. It easily spread over the onion and thyme roll. They offer 5 different breads to choose from. The menu is extensive and if you want to try several items you're more than welcome. The portions are just the right amount so you're full but not uncomfortable. The Caesar salad, besides the bread, butter, and wine, was my absolute favorite! Since it's anchovy free the light zestyness really comes thru. It's not overpowering and you can taste actual lemon and cheese not fish. For our main course, I had the Dover sole and my husband had the duck. The combination of flavors is like a celebration for your taste buds! All the ingredients come together like a well performed symphony.
Lastly, dessert. Another amazing display of plated art. Peach, as it's listed on the menu, was built to perfection! Detailed with texture and a stem crafted out of chocolate served with an edible chocolate coin. It looked like an actual peach. But get in quick, even if it's just for dessert, because they change their menu items frequently. If you made it to the end of my review, you will have no problem with the service lol. Thank you Shane for your awesome service! I am looking forward to going back and seeing what other creations Chef Olivier...
