8/29/20 i went to Edmond, Ok location on 2nd street i was the 2nd person of only 2 customers there. I brought my 2017 Lincoln Navigator to get oil change and tires rotated. Brought my own Motorcraft oil filter for them to use. First off they used my filter and gave me no money off the total for doing so, then we go to the sloppy workmanship on leaving splashed and drained oil under vehicle to the point i had to take to car wash to clean underside of it. I have changed the oil myself on this vehicle and you have to clean the drain trough after draining oil or it's a mess. Then the shop guy tried to talk me out of rotation of tires, saying i didn't need it, even though it had been 8000 miles since last doing so. Now we get to the fraudulent up sales of your shop. I watched, as what i figure is the foreman of the group, went to customer in front of me and pulled him out to up sale items he might or might not have needed and now it was my turn. First off was my air filter that had some black soot residue on top edges of it but the pleats were clean, i can see possibly replacing that but no big deal, next up was the rear brakes. He has his handy brake measurement tool and shows me that mine are in the red zone, almost to bare metal and needs immediate attention. At this point I'm 100% certain he knows I've never worked on a vehicle before. I told him i was very surprised that the rear would wear out before the front and would let him know about that and set appointment later. I went home after car wash and proceeded to remove rear brakes anticipating doing a brake job on rear. I removed both sides and the pad material was over 1/2 thickness of a new set of pads, so then i thought well maybe he got front and rear mixed up, so i removed the fronts and same thing. At this rate my brake pads will last another 50k miles. This guy hit up every customer that was in getting an oil change on items that they supposedly needed. I'm my case i was going to be charged $300 for a brake job i didn't need. I will be posting this in public forums and i suggest you either do some retraining of your employees or have lawsuits pending in the...
Read moreI didn't want to write a review, but this is the 5th email/text asking me to do so.. I'm not the type to give 1 star to places, but this was definitely the shadiest experience I've had with a car dealership. Prior to going into the shop (just to get an oil change), I had gotten 2 brand new tires that same day on the front of my car. First thing one of the employees told me is that I need to change my front 2 tires.. which I was quick to respond that I just got them changed an hour ago. He was pretty quick to retract it and say "his coworker is new and doesn't know what he's doing". That didn't stop them from trying to tell me numerous other problems that cost a lot of money. They showed me my "supposed" oil cap saying it was cracked. After a few shady calls from them, I asked to see my oil cap again and they showed me a completely different one. Then they tried to say that the oil cap they showed me the second time was theirs but it's free and on the house.. I think they were trying to cover up their lie. They were shady from the start, it's hard to believe they had my best interest. When they realized I was started to see inconsistency in their service, they overcompensated by reminding me how they're giving me a "free" oil cap and how they look out for their customers.. they're not the type to rip people off.. which felt like BS.
My girlfriend was also getting an oil change that same time and they tried to sell her on almost all the same thing (what a coincidence). She said she just wanted the oil change nothing else, and the employee asked why... Which I feel like is intrusive and rude to ask. She said she didn't have the money for it. Not cool to make someone have to say that. Just let people say no.
We both left confidently knowing we won't ever go back. We got suckered in going by a solid coupon we got, but no discount is worth that manipulative experience. If you go, so see past their BS and only get what you came for. Get a second opinion on your...
Read moreI’ve lived in Edmond my whole life and jiffy lube has always been a staple on the corner! I normally go to hibdons tires but was in a rush and chose jiffy lube as a Safe choice to go to as a safe alternative! I was completely wrong. I decided I needed a quick oil change due to an unexpected road trip! Tristin and jerry worked on my vehicle and one of them informed me that my car required a brake flush and were surprised my brake light hadn’t came on. I denied the service went on road trip and everything was fine. 2 weeks later my brake lights comes on. I drive a new vehicle with low miles and I have knowledge of some basic mechanics I felt that my breaks had been tampered with! Long story short I took my car to hibdons and they confirmed I didn’t need any break work and my brake fluid just needed to be topped off and my brake light along with all my sensors started working again! The mechanic at hibdons also said my brake fluid would only be low due to brake bleeding. I know what this is as I used to change breaks with my grandfather as a kid. Was a passion working on cars with my grandfather! I called jiffy lube and spoke to the store manager Chad who was combative, he deflected any point of misdiagnosing my car of him or his mechanics tristin, jerry, or Austin my cashier of wrongly diagnosing my vehicle with a costly price! He also wouldn’t even look up any of my information to figure out whom he was even talking too. Chad was probably the most rude, uncaring and deflective manager of any kind manager I would ever have to speak with. I truly 100% believe that jiffy lube is a scam in Edmond! Beware of this location andavoid at all cost! Calling corporate and...
