We arrived at prime dinner time with a group of 7 and the restaurant was packed. I stood at the entrance for a good 5+ minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge me, as well as others that had walked in. Someone finally came and grabbed the waitlist clipboard and I stopped him to ask if I could put my name down. I later learned that this was the manager for the evening. He stated there was a bit of a wait, but definitely not anything like an hour. After a few minutes he came back and started discussing what some of our tabling options would probably look like. He stated that he could quickly get us seated at 2 booths back and back, but we chose that we would rather be kept together. I asked if my son could have a water, and the eagerly obliged. From there he asked if any of us were interested in anything to drink, and we stated we were interested in drinks from the bar. The manager then requested the bartender to come take our drink order. The manager kept us up to date on which table he hoped to place us. I think we waited only about 30 minutes until we were seated. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and our food was great. While my initial walk-in to the restaurant was lacking in terms of service, I did take note that all staff were working at a fast pace. The overall service of the night exceeded my expectations and lead me to wanting to give a...
Read moreService was friendly but that was the only good thing. Had the special, blackened shrimp tacos that were actually white normal shrimp color. It was tacos that looked like a college kid ran to the grocery store and microwaved the ingredients. Some grated cheese and some green chilies and shrimp in a tortilla that was definitely not made at Louie's. My wife's french onion soup looked like a pre made soup with a piece of white kraft singles dropped in the middle not even spread on the top. The kids' chicken strips where just the heated up frozen type. The french fries looked great but had no flavor. This food was more of a concession stand quality, like at a college ballgame, not something I expect when I go to a restaurant. Even food trucks are much better. There was no pride taken in making the entrees. Our order was also screwed up twice. Also the common trick of putting domestic beers in the import section was present. For example, two beers made at the same brewery had one listed at domestic and one as import. One Oklahoma brewed beer was listed as an import for Pete's sake. Either they are clueless or...
Read moreFirst and last time trying this Louie's. Ordered online for curbside and that was fine, although I did have to call even though I tapped the I'm Here button on the email. The food was shockingly mediocre for a place that is so hyped. The salmon was dry as the Sahara and hard on the edges, the fried green beans were fair (no sauce as requested), the sweet potato fries tasted decent but they were limp (and again, no sauce as requested), but the cheese poppers (which should have come with marinara and didn't) were horrible--almost black they were so overcooked. Not impressed at all. Will try the other Louie's to see if they do...
