We specifically came back here for breakfast the day after our 22nd Anniversary. We did so because my wife loved the Chicken fried steak she had earlier this year. We ordered 2 of them and they came back and said only only one was left. We were sad but ok with that and they asked us to pick another entree to make up for it. We chose an enchilada one. They returned to the table with 2 enchiladas platters and no steak. We quickly said we didn't cancel the one that was available and were confused. The waitress walked off and the manager came back with the exact same plates that were sent back 4 mins later. We asked him where the chicken fired steak was..... We had literally just told a story how we had driven clear from Glenwood Springs to have the chicken fried steak and that it was our 22nd anniversary and he was so happy. Yet when he was asked where the chicken fried steak was he said that we didn't get it because they misinterpreted..... the steak was GONE. I said was it not made? He said no. I said go make it we will wait. He replied the steak is no longer available. I asked did you give it to somebody else he said It's gone guys there's no chicken fried steak. So I said you clearly gave it to someone else after you told us that there was only one available and that we needed to pick another entree to go with it. He was angry with us that we wanted what we had ordered and he clearly gave it to another customer after the interaction. They couldn't have been more rude and acted like we had done something wrong. Went from seeking the place out to wondering how a someone could be so insensitive and rude and have such bad business practices. Oh yeah the mild salsa was clearly Pace...
Read moreTHIS PLACE SUCKS. ITS DIRTY, UNORGANIZED, AND THE STAFF ARE UNPROFESSIONAL.
THE TABLES ARE WOBBLY AND UNSANITARY. THE CHAIRS ARE BREAKING.
AS SOON AS YOU WALK IN YOU CAN SEE A QUARTER INCH OF GRIME COVERING THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT.
IF YOU ACTUALLY LOOK AROUND AFTER YOUR SEATED YOU'LL FIND YOURSELF ASKING, DO I REALLY WANT TO EAT HERE?
THE TABLES LOOK LIKE THEY GOT THEM FROM A SECOND HAND STORE AND THE FLOOR IS DISGUSTING.
IM PRETTY SURE THERE'S A FEW MAJOR HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS GOING ON HERE!
THE FOOD IS DESCENT AT BEST BUT EVERYTHING IS OVER PRICED.
YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF GOING ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE VALLEY.
MY WIFE DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO EAT HERE BECAUSE IT WAS UNSANITARY, SO I ORDERED A CHILE RELLENO AND A BOWL OF GREEN CHILE TO GO.
THE GREEN CHILE WAS WATERED DOWN WITH ABSOLUTELY NO MEAT. IT WAS A BOWL OF THIN BROWN SOUP. I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A RECIPE FOR GEEEN CHILE.
IN SHORT IT'S OVERPRICED,...
Read moreI have to disagree with the last poster that said it was unsanitary. Living in the valley a while, and close to this place, I've found I'm lucky b/c it's definitely one of the better cheap places to grab some good greasy texmex. They have a huge menu like most of these places but I can only claim to have tried a small portion. Everything is pretty delicious but this is definitely not a 5 star wine and dine type of establishment. That's definitely part of what makes it so good. Cheap, delicious and friendly. As for the cleanliness side, I've never noticed anything out of the ordinary there. I'm actually going to stop by tonight and take a look around, but my suspicion is the last poster works with or for another competitor. These places are pretty cut throat...
