Where's The Chicken?

Since my last review back in 2022, I have decided to see if the owners of the Wendy’s in Edwards, CO decided to make some changes for the good. It appears not.

Initially, I tried the Single with Cheese on a pretzel bun. The sandwich was okay, I think the pretzel bun over powered the sandwich so I won’t be doing that again. Thus, I decided to give it another go.

Upon my approach to the drive in, I had a nostalgic moment thinking of years ago when I worked at the Wendy’s in Vail, Colorado. I am aware there is no Wendy’s in Vail, CO, not since the ambulance district dropped a facility right where the Wendy’s once was. Anyway, the original Chicken sandwich was my favorite back then so I decided to give it a shot. While I was in that nostalgic moment of a daydream, I envisioned the thick, juicy meat topped with lettuce and tomato.

Unfortunately, when I arrived home, I opened the sandwich since it appeared there was just a thin slab of breading and a bun. The lettuce was minimal and wilted brown. I know it has been a while since I worked at Wendy’s but I do know the sandwich ingredients were not in the order that Wendy’s franchise expects. I know as a line cook and breakfast chef, changing the order or layering of ingredients does have a huge impact on flavor. I suppose the layering probably wouldn’t have affected the taste of my sandwich due to the transparency of that thinly sliced tomato and huge glob of mayo. The green lettuce and perfectly cut tomato slices in the photos were from my kitchen not Wendy’s. Unfortunately, I could not do anything about the chicken.

Sadly, the only improvement made in two years was the two women working the drive through windows. They were pleasant and I appreciated that.

I dont do these google reviews ever but this Wendy’s needed it. Worst service imaginable… I ordered online for a pickup order and came to the drive through not even 5 minutes later to pick it up. They originally gave me the wrong order and I politely told them it wasn’t what I ordered. They then seemed annoyed and told me they didn’t see my order in the system so I showed them the digital receipt I had on my phone. They then took my phone through the drive thru window and had 3 different people looking at it for what seemed like 10 minutes. The kid at the window then tried accusing me of already picking up my order. He said the order was placed a long time ago when it wasn’t even placed 15 minutes ago! 10 of those minutes waiting at the window for them to run around confused. Eventually, they asked me if I wanted to order lunch instead because they ran out of breakfast. I asked at this point if there was a way to get a refund because I wasn’t getting what I ordered and the employee rolled her eyes at me and walked away. The manager came after this and was able to get me a refund although she showed no remorse for the situation and instead made me feel as if I’m a problem simply for wanting the food I ordered! I hate writing reviews like this, I’m in the restaurant industry myself and fully understand that glitches in the system are inevitable but don’t treat your costumers like crap when your system isn’t working properly, especially when the costumer is cooperating and just...

It’s horrible that you apply for a job and get an interview scheduled website saids immediate hire leave the state of Cali to come here arrived here ran out of money waiting Assistant manager saids they are looking for cashier I called 4 days later today and they don’t have availability if that was the case you should of had a video interview instead of making ppl come miles away to not get a response come on Gloria I called you and you couldn’t even understand simple English had to speak in Spanish and when we spoke you had to be hesitant the whole time lying saying we don’t have availability but has signs all over the restaurant I’m going to assume that your holding that job for someone that just arrived to this country thank you Gloria for making me into a homeless person I appreciate it oh p.s I got an email saying that this Wendy’s is hiring Immediately again but I guess not. You shouldn’t have a holy name like Gloria if you can’t just let a person no up front because you were there but was so called busy to give me an interview had assistance manager give me an interview and I was on time for it as well told me 2 days and to fill out the application witch I did before the interview now I am stuck with no gas or money because of a lie thanks again Gloria I guess me being American with the proper documentation and speaking English and Spanish now I’m stranded in the Edward rest stop...
