I’m having mixed feelings writing this review. I’ve had Mystic Lobster in Brigantine, and I enjoy the Connecticut warm lobster roll. I ordered it in the EHT location and it was pretty consistent in flavor. I do agree with other reviewers that it’s a small roll, and they don’t make up for the portion by including a side (besides a pickle spear and 2 tablespoons of coleslaw). I think that would really help with the “sticker shock” you get when they hand you the tiny box.

Now what the 2 stars is for is the chicken menu. I ordered a solo leg to give it a try. At $2.50, why not? While inexpensive, I still did NOT expect what I got. The leg was so small I have to assume it was the drum from a wing. (I didn’t make a mistake in ordering, because it was on the receipt, written on the box, and the price was correct. Also, there are wings on the menu in a separate section.) I’m very confused if that is the portion size or if it was a mistake. I added a picture of it next to a standard plastic fork to show I’m not exaggerating. I don’t know what I was expecting for $2.50…. But it definitely...

The place was empty. The decor is sparse, but clean. We ordered 3 lobster rolls, 4 drinks and French fries with old bay. The fries were supposed to be fresh "made right here" but they were re-fried. The coleslaw is from a container, and the homemade lemonade tasted anything but. I asked if he had hot tea and he said "sorry no I don't ". So I went next door to Mr. Wish for a hot tea. Then sat down to try and finish our meal. $90.61 cash price, (credit card purchase is plus 3.5% surcharge) we were charged and a $1.75 charge for an open item, (my tea) that he didn't have and I had to go next door to get, since I couldn't drink the lemonade. It's not like we didn't buy his drinks and food. Sorry, the lobster roll was tasty, but over $90 to eat average food on paper wrap. We won't be going back. Foods are alright. You may simply stop by Chickie and Pete's for a lobster roll or you can go to Costco and have the same lobster bisque. The prices of the food are unreasonably expensive. On the website and social media platforms where they provide those unclear details, you won't see a clear cost of those foods. The cost at the restaurant was higher than what you saw on the Mystic Lobster Roll website. I was informed that their prices differ from the website. Their Facebook page advertised a combo lunch special. When I called and placed my order, they told me it would be less expensive if I didn't have the beverage, but I later discovered that it is the same. For a lobster roll and lobster bisque, I spent roughly $40. I should caution you that using a credit card will result in a 3.5% fee. I had a negative experience here and will never go...
