I'm pretty conflicted about it. I went in at opening to get a balayage. Granted I have longer thicker darker hair so I knew it would take longer to get done. I didn't leave until about 4:40 and I was rushed out. I want to be able to leave a better review because there were good parts of my experience like everyone was super nice there and kept my expectations realistic. I liked that they were honest about what they could do for my hair because I wanted to go from almost black hair to an ashy almost blonde balayage. The instructor told me that they don't know if they can achieve that for me that day but they would lift my hair first and see if it was possible and if my hair didn't lift well enough then we would do a caramel balayage. I really liked that they gave me a plan and options with my hair. Initially I liked my hair right after it was done because it was a big change but the hours and days after I started to not like it more and more. My hair apparently lifted well and I was told I could get the ashy color I wanted but when I went home it my hair looked warm and multi tonal. It was also uneven and on the right side of my head I have two chunkier highlights and on the left all the lightened pieces are thinner and spread out. Yes they are students and I completely understand that they are there to learn. The instructor came in to check in periodically which was good. I also showed them a lot of reference photos of what I wanted. I liked that they were able to get me that light in one session but I don't like how warm my hair looked, the uneven parts, and being rushed out. I also got a blowout but it doesn't look like blowout which I attribute to the circumstance of being rushed out due to closing. I completely understand that my hair was a lot of work therefore it took longer and the salon was closed so yes the staff and I needed to leave. Throughout the process everyone was nice to me and was telling me that my hair was lifting, we could do the ashy color, and that my hair was looking like my reference photos. However I'm not happy with the results of my hair and I did come in at opening to give them as much time as possible so I'm not sure what else I could have done? Overall there was good and not so good. I'm usually not very critical but I just wanted to include more insight on my experience I hope this doesn't offend anyone :) Attached will be what my hair looked like the night I left the salon, right after I left the salon and, the reference photos I showed them. I paid...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt feel that this place knows how to teach their students enough and their program is certainly not long enough to give the students the right amount of experience. My mom got her hair colored there for the second and LAST time. The studentās hair got in my momās face, the color she was given was darker than requested, the highlights she already had got pulled through, hair dye got splattered on her shoes-ruining her sneakers, and she left with her shirt and bra completely soaked. She had to go to Walmart to buy a new shirt so she could be dry again. The teacher who helped the student was abrupt and didnāt āteachā. She took the tools away from the student and just took over, but still did a less-than-decent job. The student was unsupervised for the majority of the color session and by the time the teacher came around to check in, it was too late.
We will...
