New York Giant Pizza — Restaurant in El Cajon

TL:DR - If you don't tip to their satisfaction, they will let you know. Communication around this place is hit and miss. Food is good, service is poor.

So I work at a facility for people with mental illness. Due to the nature of their conservatorship they have a limited options to ordering food outside of their provided kitchen meals. This place USED to be the go to for residents and staff alike for pizza. However, due to an incident where in a resident's money for purchase was stolen, the restaurant blacklisted the facility from making cash purchases for delivery. This all despite the fact the staff pooled their money to pay for the order.

Residents have been told adamantly to avoid this shop. Staff will be avoiding this shop based on their driver's conduct alone. Speeding out of the parking lot because you found the tip unacceptable is egregious...

This is our favorite place to order pizza for our large gatherings. We've been complemented many times on it too! We love ordering the giant Supreme combo. They also will take special requests to and are very accommodating. We usually order half of it with meat and veggies and the other half with just the veggies - our favorite way!

Just a side note: if you happen to be taking it somewhere, bring your own plates! We just recently ordered a giant AND a large and we were given 5 plates and 4 packs of red peppers 🤣 I did ask for more but they only gave me a few more and said that's all they can give me. Not a big deal but good to know so you plan ahead with plates, peppers and cheese.

We plan on using this place for our future...

i;ve been ordering from here for years, ever since Grandstand Pizza turned into garbage. But today was a bummer. I ordered my usual large pep, sausage, and it was garbage. The reason why? The phone gal spiced up my pizza by making it gluten free by accident. Gluten free is garbage. And they charge $8 extra for that. The pizza quality? Its thin and looks burnt on the bottom. Just like a Dominos pizza. OMG

I dont hold grudges and ordered again from NY GIANT PIZZA. When I called, I made sure they understood this is NOT to be Gluten free pizza.

came out PERFECT. Terrific pizza and outstanding anti pasto salad. It aint burnt on the bottom. OMG.I need...
