Walked in hoping to purchase a deep freezer, waited in the appliance section at the help desk while there was 3 employees there. 2 of which were standing there on their phones so we went up to the register in the front after standing around not being assisted already knowing which one we wanted and asked if we could purchase it there since no one was assisting us back there but we were told someone in appliances had to do it because they had to explain the usage, set up, and warranties. One of the employees kept mentioning how her shift was about to end so I’m assuming that’s why she didn’t want to assist with our transaction. We walked back there and waited again. Stood there for 20 minutes and as I was saying that I wanted to leave at that point because we weren’t being assisted with what we came to purchase that I’d rather get it somewhere else an employee (possibly named Lonny) finally gets off his phone to ask if we need help which we replied yes and he stood there for a minute on his phone again and then we said we already know exactly which one it is but he insisted on walking over to it so that we could stand next to it for someone else to be available. We started walking over back to the deep freezer again and he told us that he was helping someone so we’d have to wait which we did yet again and then grabbed someone that was walking by. Someone finally came over and says that he can get it ordered for us and I informed him that the person up front said there was 3 in stock to which he replied with attitude and said well which one and I told him the insignia 5 cubic feet deep freezer and he snapped back before we could finish and said he needed the item number from the website so we looked it up and gave it to him. While we were there waiting, I was getting ready to take a seat because I have bad back issues and can’t stand or walk for long periods of time without pain and Lonny walked over and grabbed the 3 chairs that were there and said they were for his customers that were looking at a fridge so I had to stand while we waited. The entire transaction we were treated like we didn’t have money and he kept trying to push a credit card on us but my husband already had one with them. He tried to swipe it about 10 times before saying that they could just sign me up for a credit card to which I replied no thank you, he has one that we use when we buy items here. He then said he’d look up the credit card on their end and confirm the info so he could charge the card since the card is a couple years old and kind of worn. We confirmed that the information matched about 5 times before he asked again if I wanted to get a credit card since the information didn’t match even with my husbands id getting scanned and confirming his social. He kept saying I’m not sure but the system isn’t accepting it for some reason so again insisted I get a credit card for Cashback and I said no we’ll just pay with a debit card. He then caught an attitude and said he’d go get the freezer so we waited about 10 minutes for him to get it and he told us to pull to the front and they’ll put it in our vehicle and we did that. The employee that brought it out practically threw it in the trunk of our SUV and then said oh I’m sure they told you but you can’t turn it on for about uhhhh 6 to 12 to 24 hours and then walked away. We were never asked about warranty, told how to turn it on the first time, or upkeep. Luckily my husband is good with electronics and already knew not to turn it on right away but we left upset and very bothered by how we were treated. I would’ve ordered it online to my house but the delivery fee was $65-$100 so that’s why we went in store and ending up buying one with free attitude, getting ignored, and treated like we don’t have money as apart of...
Read moreIf I could rate this store with 0 stars in this review, in which, they would be more than deserving to have received a rating that low, I would. I was approached by several of the employees there; the private security, the store manager, roughly 3-4 other males sporting the Best Buy logo, all at once, while I had been shopping there. As the security demanded my bag from me, harassed me, emptied my bag while making accusations of theft (which no theft had occurred, finding nothing on me or in my bag from there store as they humiliated me), tried to intimidate/bully me by saying “we could get down”, “I don’t want it”, the entire fireworks show in which I had responded defensively. That short, bald, fat, black, punk made, nobody that is private security for the store needed to at least apologize or come outside and address the altercation he initiated. The store manager made excuses like he had not seen it or he was not apart of it but they had all ran up on me simultaneously in the store surrounding me calling “code blue.” Instead of apologizing, they began threatening to call cops when I was asking for a customer complaint form. Which they wouldn’t do because I was a consumer they had been violated. I had nothing on me. I hadn’t done anything. I did use some harsh words towards the punk when he said, “You probably fit the profile and have priors with a record…” Which, if that was the case, it wouldn’t be relevant. However, the reality is I have no priors, I have no record, and I am a veteran of the USN. Which I made sure to inform that pee-on of all of that. The embarrassment I was forced to deal with as a CONSUMER! I’ve never in my life been disrespected to the point where this mouthy, scrub, pee-on took my anger to. He was so determined to be right in a situation where, the facts speak for themselves, he was wrong, he went to the extreme of slandering and attempting to dirt me and my name to cover his actions of profiling and racism. I’m glad the Store Manager refused to correct his employee but instead told me to leave. You should be embarrassed as much as he should be. OWN YOUR ACTIONS! I Honestly fell as though I need a lawyer to sue the El Cajon Best Buy for this behavior towards me. I have PTSD. To be ambushed by a large group of large men is a trigger. To have someone push up on you in the way that they did should...
Read moreOn Thursday, 10/22/2021, approximately 10:07 AM, my Wife and I visited a Best Buy Store located at 149 Fletcher Pkwy, El Cajon, CA 92020
Upon entering the store we stopped at the Front Reception Counter, where I expressed a strong interest in purchasing a major appliance. I then asked if a Store Employee would be willing to provide assistance.
After leading a Store Employee to the Major Appliances Department, I asked him to verify the availability of a Samsung Freezer Refrigerator - Model: RT18M6215SR. He returned confirming the appliance was in stock.
Despite the Store Employee displaying grossly inadequate knowledge about store products, both my Wife and I continued to pursue the purchase. We attempted to learn about the features ourselves by way of a Google search, alone there in the Major Appliances Department. No knowledgeable assistance whatsoever was offered by any Store Employees.
As my wife remained standing beside the Samsung Freezer Refrigerator - Model: RT18M6215SR in the Major Appliances Department, my numerous requests to complete the purchase being made at the Front Reception Counter were falling on deaf ears. Apparently disregarded by several Store Employees that I observed joyfully entertaining themselves.
After more than an hour had passed, I was eventually able to begin making the purchase with a Store Employee. He informed me that the Samsung Freezer Refrigerator - Model: RT18M6215SR in stock earlier was no longer available.
When I requested to have a conversation with the Store General Manager, that individual refused to make an appearance. A Store Employee identifying herself as the Store Front Manager approached my Wife and I instead.
Not only was that Store Front Manager also incompetent, there was an extremely hateful look in her eyes, as well as tone of voice. I was prompted to mention it to her, requesting that she calm down and address the issue. She replied by saying several times that she did not have to talk to me.
It was finally apparent to my Wife and I that we were not welcome, and our only remaining option was to walk away. Our attempt to purchase the Samsung Freezer Refrigerator - Model: RT18M6215SR was unsuccessful.
Those Store Employees need to be held responsible for the degrading treatment that my Wife and I...
