I've been coming here since the early 90s. So 30+yrs now, everything is the same. Burgers taste the same like they did the first time in what 92, 93 which is crazy. I moved out of El Monte in 95 and now reside in the IE. I still stop by when I'm in the area because you never know with restaurants closing down left and right. Read moreI love this place. They have a tastey burger but I mainly come for the onion rings. If I want rings I come here. You can expect a large serving similar to what you would get at Tops or The Hat. Along with sodas you can get Horchata or Orange Bang. However, these are kept in the food prep area and cost extra to refill. This place is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. You can catch the El Monte red trolley right on the corner opposite to Nicks. The Metro 76 and 276 bus also stop here. My one criticism is that the restroom needs a major remodel. I have ordered many chicken dinner's at many establishments in comparison to nicks. The chicken was crispy the inside was moist and juicy, the fries and onion rings were also crispy. I would highly recommend this eating establishment for their chicken dinner on another note my friend liked her burger and fries.
