Zero stars.
I was in the drive thru line, and stuck at the speaker for over 15 minutes- prior to waiting right there, I thought there was valid reason for the line being long and moving slow. While waiting to see if someone would even respond to me saying "hello?" I hopped on here to see the reviews. Come to find out this seems typical for this location, among other things.
I attempted to pull forward so I can just get out of the line, hoping that the 3 cars in front of me (when I entered the line) had already gotten their orders and went on their way.
No. Even before I got to the next window, I had been in line for nearly 30 minutes, and there was finally "only" one car in front of me waiting at the window to get their food. I just waited to be able to drive off. Not like I had any other option.
The wait was not worth it, considering no one even said anything the speaker for over 15 minutes. Come on. The wait for food at In N Out and Chick Fil A is usually a little less that-when busy.
Management really needs to improve their efficiency and flow. Just because the staff are paid at least $20/hour, does not mean they should maximize their hourly pay with a low rate of timely service. Instead, they should have a minimum performance quota of if serving either 6-10 parties per hour (6-10 min average per party), or an 90-100% of customers/parties served in less than 10 minutes during the non-rush hours when there’s less customers. It’s Popeye’s. It’s a fast food chain, not an actual restaurant where you can reasonably expect 30+ min to wait.
I can't say anything about the food at this location, but given others' feedback about getting less than what they ordered, or getting something completely different- based on the inefficiency of ordering, I'm inclined to believe that others' reviews of the customer service, food quality, and order inaccuracy, is accurate.
From the time I entered the line, until finally getting to get out of the line and drive off, was a total elapsed time of 32 minutes.

Read moreFirst of all, I’m not writing this complaint because I want a coupon or a gift card. I waited for almost an hour(not include 15 mins of wait to take my order).
I tried asking for my order status after 30 mins of waiting. This is when an associate took my receipt and start preparing my order. Looks like He didn’t print one for his own working progress. I saw this associate packed my 8 pcs and left them on the counter, and told me that he is just waiting for my Ghost Pepper wings.
Then, Another person who ordered same item as I did at least 20mins after got his order and left, it was Ghost Pepper Wings.
I heard this person when he was asking for his order, it was exactly the same thing I ordered half an hour ago!
I just still can’t believe that I still waited for 20 mins after this!
I finally request the same associate that I want to cancel my order. This is when he asked for my name again, and then start packing for my Ghost Pepper Wings!
Sorry that I just can’t accept the fact going back home with a bag of cold fried chicken which had been left on the counter for more than half an hour, and a bag of wings I should have already got at lease 30 mins earlier.
I insisted that I want to cancel my order. The same associate called the store manager, they walked to the counter talking & laughing.
I didn’t hear a single apology during the whole refund process.
The only words I heard was the store manager asked me to reinsert my credit card.
By the way, just a friendly reminder, the same associate was not wearing anti slippery shoes. His feet can’t even hold the ground when he was just standing there.
This is a small store, and it’s not hard to remember what happened in front of me earlier tonight.
There is no way I will let this happen to me again in any Popeyes location again

Read moreIf you value your time and money don't go here. On the off chance you go here when your their only customer your good, as soon as there are 2 or more customer be ready for a wait. I used use the drive thru, but literally last time had to wait 10 mins at speaker for employee to take the order, moved up and found there to be only one car in front of me which took 20+ mins to get their order and had to wait 10 more mins for mine. So I started ordering for pick up through the app. Don't even bother with that either they don't actually make your food until your in line at the pick up counter which defeats the whole purpose. I had to wait 15 mins the first time. The second time I had to wait 30 mins to get a pick up I ordered and intentionally showed up 15 mins late for. I don't get how management can see the logic of now prepping the pick up order until I've actually came there and said I was here for the pick up, they just back themselves up even more. Oh to mention they run out of fries and if you order through an app good luck getting a refund because the app is faulty, so theres the waster of $7 because they can't keep inventory either. There is another popeye location 10 mins away up Temple CIty Blvd which i never had the trouble, if you are going during peak hours trust me and go there. This place does not care about priority que, a lady walked in 15 mins after me and a few people went up to the desk to order, said something to the manager in spanish, I'm guessing she begged and got her...
