Decided to give this restaurant another try. It used to be good and I am holding on to those memories of eating here with my grandmother back in 2007; somehow trying to reminisce those days. My family and I ordered the 7 mares soup, steak & shrimp, and beef fajitas. The 7 mares soup is made fresh to order, spicy, and full of good stuff. The steak & shrimp lists their cut of meat as a ribeye. Definitely not a ribeye. There was zero fat marbling and instead, it was a thin lean cut of beef that was tough and dry. It is a $19 plate, I guess you get what you pay for. Decided to try to enjoy the sides it came with. What made me give this place a two star review was the issue with the beef fajitas skillet. The steak was not seasoned at all. No salt. Nothing. We all took a small taste at the table to ensure it was not just an odd palate. Told the waitress and she took the skillet back to the kitchen. She came back rather quickly with what I thought was another batch of fajitas. This was not the case. She later explained, after I asked them why it tasted like salt had been sprinkled on the top and sent back out, the cook had (wait for it) taken the beef fajitas we sent back and put them back on their flat grill, seasoned them, waited a little for them to reheat, and put them back on the serving skillet. My concern immediately was pandemic wise. How is food that has being eaten from, placed back on their skillet where they cook the other customer’s orders. Very poor safety and food handling practices. Not going to return after this. I will just need to keep those old memories of my grandmother...
Read moreI came here because I had heard from several people that the food here was beyond good. After coming here I feel completely duped. After getting my order wrong the first time, the waitress tried to force me to keep that erroneous order as she insisted I had ordered that. When I corrected her she proceeded to make a face and gave us HORRIBLE service for the rest of our stay there. There was a point where we literally had to walk to the register to get her to refill our drinks. The food itself was horrible. The cheese on my burger was dried solid, the patty was burned to a crisp and the food for my party was dry and flavorless. I normally give restaurants a few chances before I post a solid review but my experience was just so bad I couldn't keep quiet. Highly doubt I will voluntarily...
Read moreAy Caramba! Restaurant is on a convenient corner location across from Sam's Club and is a humble but sweet, genuine and consistently serves hot and delicious plates. They make an embarrassment of the nearby Sofi's that fails to please. Hot tortilla chips and tasty salsa for all tastes commence all meals including the breakfast pancake meals. Especially satisfying is the tacos adobados! Wow!! Real chunky pork marinated in a red mild chile base. I am a 55 year old female and eat alone once a week here and unapologetically. This is my treat because the food and the staff are superior. Alcoholic beverages available they open early and close late. Five stars. This restaurant would be a great success back home in the San Francisco Bay Area. ...
