First, this Butter Smith Kitchen location on Zaragosa was the biggest disappointment. I guess the biggest red flag was the parking lot was not full and there was no line of customers waiting outside, especially during this holiday season. As we entered the restaurant it had a strong chemical cleaning odor and an employee was mopping the floors using whatever made this odor. As we were seated, we waited for a little over 10 minutes until we waved at a group of 4 to 5 workers gathered in a circle laughing and joking around behind a counter. One emplyee finally noticed us waving and he walked over and said he was not our server and asked what we like to drink. Then about a few minutes later our server arrived and he did not even introduce himself he only asked if we were ready to order, which we did. At this point, I looked at time. As we waited for our order I noticed the restaurant had a lot of empty tables so I thought why is it taking so long for fried eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes. And our server was nowhere to be seen or even to update us as to why our order was taking long. After 30 plus minutes our food arrived. The best description of the food was terrible, it was not even mediocre. The food was bland and had no seasoning and my order was not even complete. My wife's order she noticed the salad was made with old lettuce and soggy tomatoes while my order lacked the stack of pancakes. I told our server i did not get the stack of pancakes. The server seemed confussed and made a facial expression and it seemed he did not realize my order came with pancakes. The server then said he would bring the pancakes. After a while, the server returned and I asked about the order of pancakes he said it would be out in a few minutes, but the few minutes turned into 15 minutes and after I finished my breakfast. The server then brought out my order of pancakes and I said to my wife did the server say a "stack of pancakes", so why did he bring one pancake. My wife said there were three pancakes. I could not believe it the pancakes were so thin I could have used them as paper. At the end as we were departing I asked the server what his name was, he said Robert. Thank you Butter Smith for the worst experience in...
Read moreI always go here and the waiting time is super fast, even though they say it will take half an hour it is usually less. This location is faster than IHOP or Dennys. Food has always been super good can’t complain. The reason for the one star is because I went is because I went to get breakfast this past Sunday and it was a family I’m front of us and then us next. While we were waiting families continue to arrived and the lady in front kept sitting everyone else that that came after us. She would just look at us and not even ask like what is the name of the party group to seat or nothing, which that was super rude and unprofessional. We were just 4 people, meanwhile she kept sitting families of 10 or 7 people that came after us. Our minds were maybe they were already waiting and we’re outside since you get a text to advise you when your table is ready. After an hour, I got up and told her why they kept seating other people and not us, and she had the nerve to tell me that she send a text when my table was ready and I show her my phone and told her she didn’t send me anything.. She didn’t know what to wait and just kept apologizing. She forgot about us which is weird because we were sitting right in front of her and couldn’t even asked us anything seeing us there seating for awhile. Anyway, I asked to speak with the manager and the manager was nice but still I feel like he could of been better. I feel like he really didn’t put much effort and didn’t really care.. The waitress rarely came for refills and I kept asking for napkins, and other things and she and the manager kept forgetting and I got them when I was about to leave. In my opinion, if you go please don’t wait too long to say something if you have a similar experience like waiting to be seated for...
