George Dieter location was awful. Before we even approached the counter, the security guard told us, take out only when their diner was half full. Nice greeting....our cashier, who asked if it was to go or for here, which made the security look like a guy who just wanted to leave asap, was a very obnoxious lady with red/maroon hair, who was on too much caffeine or something else. She kept going to the intercom and repeatedly telling the paying customers that they were closing soon in a passive aggressive tone. At one point, she wore a bag over her head. Weird. Then she proceeded to talk to some friends and coworkers about how terrible customers have been all day and that the next person that walks in, she is going to punch them, cussing like a sailor the entire time. She kept gossiping loudly to the point that her voice would over power our conversation. It was cringy. To top it off, only one person was wearing a mask. All the cooks and staff were maskless. We were the last people there because they forgot our food. Well, actually, our food was sitting in front of the cooks and apparently nobody noticed. So my tacos, fries and sauce were cold and overcooked. My friend got sick from the hot dog. Terrible. Somebody needs to fire that lady who took our order. Cussing and talking about customers so everybody can hear..who does that...extremely unprofessional. It was a strange Twilight...
Read moreToday I was severed by two of the rudest ladies ever!!!! One was an assistant manager but behaved so unprofessional. She was yelling at her workers and didn't care that customers were listening. My mother ordered a coke zero which they were out and had to change in the back which i understand. That was no issue but since they keep saying diet coke i just reassured them it was coke zero and the assistant manager yelled at me saying it was the same thing. Which they carry both products and no its not the same thing!!! I was also given the wrong size of drinks so I politely let them know and the assistant Manager didn't even want to deal with me she just rolled her eyes and made the other rudest lady take care of it. So rude lady #2 asked for a receipt which I went to go get and saw they did charge me the size they gave me even though I didn't ask for that size. I apologize and rude lady #2 rolled her eyes and said " that's right" and walked away even though I was done with our conversation. These ladies obviously hate there jobs, so they should really be corrected or let go!!! Food was great!!! Other employees were great!!!! It's just those two unhappy people that make you experience miserable!!!

Read moreIf you know El Paso, you know Chicos. I always make it a point to come here at least once when I’m in town to make sure to get my Chicos fix. There really is nothing like it. It’s one of those places you’ll either love, or you don’t. My wife is partial to the “hot dog” here, which is a red hot dog butterflied on two pieces of toast with beans and mustard. Pretty good stuff, but I’m partial to the tacos.
I always get a double (6 beef flautas/taquitos submerged in mild red Chile sauce, smothered in shredded cheese) with some crinkle cut fries (I bite the ends off and soak them in the sauce once I’ve eaten enough of the tacos out of the way) and a Dr Pepper (another Texas original).
Cash only, but they have an ATM inside if you forgot to go to the ATM.
If you want to take them to go, they keep the sauce separated in another container so your tacos don’t get soggy. Great for transporting long distances or just back to the house down the street).
I recommend this place to all my family/friends that are going through/to El Paso, and it’s a local place that every El Pasoan knows (name drop it for street cred to look less like a tourist).
Can’t wait til my next trip just to get some more! My opinion: this is the best thing about the city. :)...
