Finally tried Buen Dia on the west side! We ordered 2 Rojo Chilaquiles, pozole, un cafe de Olla, and Jamaica Agua Fresca! Everything was delicious. I truly enjoyed the Chilaquiles, even though I usually prefer them to be softer and with more sauce. They had a good spice to them and came with an egg on top with black beans on the side. The pozole was pretty good as well. It comes with radish and cabbage already in the pozole, and the pork pieces had good flavor. However you won't get it with bolillo, you will get a flour tortilla instead. The cafe de Olla is available hot or iced. The hot version had good flavor, which was very aromatic with scents of clove, anise, and cinnamon. The iced Jamaica tasted freshly made and not overly sweet. We really enjoyed the food and the theme of the restaurant. A previous post mentioned how cold it was, and I completely agree. Take a thin jacket or a shawl so you can enjoy yourself a bit better. The music playing was upbeat and not overly loud. I did see signs that said to order your food first before you sit down. Overall, I highly recommend!

I visited the restaurant with a friend and ordered habanero chilaquiles with citrus grilled chicken on the side, carnitas tacos, Jamaica, and horchata agua frescas. The food is ordered first and then delivered to the seat. The service was slow, taking 20 minutes to order despite being fourth in line, and another 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive. The ambience was calm but not particularly noteworthy. The chilaquiles were flavorful, but the fried egg was basic and average. The citrus grilled chicken was stale and had an odor. The beans were too creamy and bland. Hot sauce was available at an additional price, and the chilaquiles chips were dry. The agua frescas were very good, probably the best part of the meal. The carnitas tacos were decent, but the meat lacked flavor and needed a little salt. Overall, I would not visit this restaurant again based on the food and service unless things change.

The Creamy Green Chilaquiles and the Carnitas Skillet were OUTSTANDING, as was my wife’s Cafe De Olla! I would have just liked 2 eggs with my Chilaquiles and my wife would have liked a bit more meat and less potatoes with her Carnitas Skillet. Although, BOTH were VERY FLAVORFUL AND AMZING! Jessica and Daniela were the most charming and friendly and accommodating hostesses! We greatly appreciated the refill of her Cafe De Olla in her provided to-go cup! That just added to their EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The restaurant was very welcoming and bright and colorful and clean, as well as the restrooms! We will be coming back, even though we live on the Far East side! So glad we found this hidden gem! 👍😀👏

This place is one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. 16 dllrs for 3 small tacos with no sides or sauce or anything just a regular drink it is absurd. You have to wait in line to get in because they won't let you sit down until you order they would literally yell at you to wait outside and close the door. We saw how they did this to and older couple, that should have been enough for us to leave but we didn't to our regret. Slow service and extremely rude employees. You have to actually get up and get your own drink from the bar attendant and put up with their attitude. And on top of that the food was cold, not good impossible to eat because of how salty it was.. We left never to return. Dont waste your time and go somewhere else where they appreciate your time and money and treat the customer...
