⭐️ 1-Star Review – Worst Churches Chicken Experience EVER
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We placed a Mega Meal online—16 pieces of chicken, 3 large sides, 6 biscuits, 4 pies, a half gallon of punch, and jalapeños. You would think a big order like that would be taken seriously. Think again.
When we pulled up, the place looked dead—no customers, no energy, and honestly it didn’t even look like anyone was working. We walked in and told them about our online order. That’s when two extremely unprofessional employees (one claiming to be the manager and the other a crew member) decided to start building our order using chicken that was already sitting out.
Everyone knows if a restaurant is empty, that food has been sitting for a while. When we asked politely for fresh chicken, we got nothing but attitude. The manager snapped that the chicken had “only been up 25 minutes.” I don’t know what Churches Chicken’s official hold time is, but 25 minutes is borderline trash by any food safety standards.
We insisted on fresh food since we were paying full price, not leftover-bin prices. They rolled their eyes and said fine. We sat for 10 minutes before my husband checked on the order—only for the crew member to tell us it would be a 30-minute wait because even though the store closes at 10 PM, they break down the kitchen at 8 PM. So now we have to wait while they put everything back together because they were too lazy to serve customers during business hours?
This is completely unacceptable. It’s not the customer’s fault these workers want to shut down early and get paid to do nothing. Why offer online ordering if you’re going to punish people for using it? Why are you still open if you can’t provide fresh food? And why does management think attitude is a job skill?
This location is a joke. Lazy staff, horrible customer service, stale food, and no respect for paying customers. I won’t be back and I’ll be reporting this location to Church’s corporate because this is a health and customer service disaster.

Read moreI arrive before 5, the young lady over the drive thru was having trouble getting my order correct (it was a number 3, which was spicy tenders with a sweet tea and bombers)and asked to drive up after she repeated it correctly. When driving up the young man at the window repeated my order and it was still wrong. When correcting it he seemed bother and pretty much just tossed me my card and asked to pull forward someone would take out my order. I waited over 20 minutes and my order was still not out and other people were driving away with their food. When calling the store, I was assisted by a rude “manger” Paola who said the cook messed up and could give me regular tenders. When I told her I understood he messed up but I’ve waited over 20 minutes and her response was I already told you what I can give you would you like the regular tenders or wait another 5 minutes for the tenders to come out. Almost 30 minutes for chicken tenders when I can make them homemade not out of a bag within the same time. Not once did she apologize and when asking for a refund she continue to blame the cook for the error. As manager on shift if you have a new cool who has not grasp the routine you should assist your cool to be a successful store. I am completely disgusted at the poor management and customer service THIS store offers. Just take the drive to the one on Yarbrough or down south on Zaragoza. Drive threw attendant, who very well may have been the "manager" (Paula) already seemed bothered, she didn't even ask what drink I wanted with my meal and as a bonus, even after I repeated and twice confirmed my order, it still was received wrong and missing my side item that comes with the meal. So I called the store to speak to the manager (Paula) I proceed to explain to her my concerns of the incorrect order and missing side. She abruptly and repeatedly interrupted me and told me I can go back and get it. I then mentioned I could not as I needed to return to work and with no regard or care for people's time she said it had to be done at that time (her time I guess) she was extremely rude and sarcastically said "well I hope you have a better day" Clearly she has no management experience and lacks the ability to take constructive criticism.
